I will be playing with the free dlc pack only. NO SPOILERS REGARDING THE LAST PALACE PLEASE! I know nothing more than the fact that it exists. With that said:
Kamoshida's palace: P4. The track is not that fast, it has some snapiness to it yet is not that lively like some of the others. I think it fits the start of the journey as well as the Palace quiet theme song.
Madarame's: P2. I think it is the song that closest resembles something oriental when the string instrument comes in.
Kaneshiro's: P4 Arena. By now the Thieves are much more confident, so I think a ""stronger"" music fits here. It also fits with Makoto discovering a much more assertive and stronger self.
Futaba's: P4D. The Thieves have a much more emotional connection to this case as a whole giving Futaba's story and their connection to Sojiro, especially Mc, Morgana and Yusuke (which from my pov is the most sensitive of them all, just tied with Haru). The hopeful melody fits this segment and the name of the song fitting the plot is the cherry on top.
Okumura's: Catherine. The techno feels just right for this palace and no other.
Sae's: P1. Vocals and the jazzy feels completely matches the Palace theme song. Probably the smoothest tramsition in all of my list.
Shido's: SMT if... At the start I wanted a quieter song to mix better with the Palace's theme song, but given how the cards are (apparently) all revealed and how resolute the Thieves are, it is time for some stronger tunes and loud guitars!
Memento's Depths: Devil Summoner. I wanted something quieter given the mistery that lies ahead of the Thieves, but something that kept guitars. I ultimately decided for this theme as well because I had a really tough time beating the end of Devil Summoner lol so for me it fits the end game quite well (despite the fact that it is actually easier than early game, at least in vanilla P5).
8th Palace: SMT IV. Not knowing what is ahead of me, I wanted a really explosive and strong theme. This track with its crazy guitars will match my hype for this Palace, because after getting the P5 Platinum today I realized that one the weakest P5 points for me is the lack of an area to use late game Personas to wreck stuff.
P3 is by far my favorite out of the last Persona games, but it's theme doesnt fit any area in the game for me. As much as I love the rapping I dislike the start of the song as well..
