A list of puns related to "List of deaths from drug overdose and intoxication"
The Anjelica (AJ) Hadsell case is very dear to me, as she was my neighbor for many years. It has been an open case for almost five years and there are still no definite answers.
AJ attended Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia and was visiting her parents during spring break in Norfolk, Virginia. She was last seen on March 2, 2015. Her neighbor was the last to see her alive, claiming that she was leaving the neighborhood and seemed to be in a hurry. Her parents last heard from her on March 3, 2015 via text. AJ was reported missing around 9:00 p.m. on the same night.
Friends, family, and community gathered and formed a search group to assist in looking for AJ. Extensive and educated searching led to no leads and the case was left in the hands of investigators. Shockingly, AJ's stepfather, Wesley Hadsell, was arrested during all of this for breaking into a home. When police arrived, he claimed that he was looking for his daughter. He was arrested on four charges of obstructing justice, one charge of possessing ammunition following a felony, and one charge of breaking and entering. This alarmed the community, as we were unaware of his previous felonies and the fact that he was unafraid to commit again. An eyebrow was raised because something seemed fishy.
A month later, AJ's body was found behind an abandoned house 50 miles away from her parents' home in Norfolk. However, it was very close to a site where her stepfather had been working. Her body was close to a creek, face down, and covered with a piece of plywood. Obviously, all fingers pointed at Wesley.
What confuses me the most is that her cause of death, according to her autopsy report, was homicidal violence and acute heroin poisoning. AJ had no history of drug use and there were no track marks found on her. I know that there are other ways to do heroin, but this just seems so odd to me. I would like to know what you all think of this case and its outcome.

... keep reading on reddit β‘People in their teens, 20's, 30's don't just "pass away." Maybe I'm an insensitive asshole, maybe it's just human curiosity, but I get moderately annoyed when I hear someone I went to school with or met (but wasn't close to) died, and there are like 20+ comments "Oh that's so sad that they passed" "I'm so sorry for your loss" but out of the dozens of people, no one will even mention the elephant in the room or even bring up how they died....and you can't ask yourself, because that'd be insensitive and disrespectful.
I guess that's why I'm posting here. I feel bad that the person is dead, but also get annoyed when everyone dances around the subject and won't talk about it (even though it's none of my business.)
