A list of puns related to "List of Star Wars Rebels characters"
(Please when voting, keep in mind of point cost, if they're good at they're intended role, and versatility in any Rebel lineup.)
How would you rate the Rebel Troopers?
After reading all six of the new canon Thrawn novels I canβt help but wonder if Rebels did him a disservice by playing him as a villain instead of the antihero he more likely is.
I thought I would practice some hard surface modelling and texture painting. Modeled in Blender, textured in Substance. My topology is... not great. I know that's going to be one of the first things I go over as a lesson from this. That out of the way, I would love some feedback on how to get the style closer to the show or pointers on how the topology really should be.

I have to admit that I wasn't particularly fond of her when I first watched The Clone Wars movie, however that changed after watching the series. Seeing her character grow from the 'kid-appeal' character to an independent and deeply interesting character was unbelievable. Then I read the Ahsoka novel, detailing her actions after Mandalore and how she tried her damndest to stay hidden from the freshly born Empire whilst adhering with the codes and morals instilled in her by the Jedi. Then of course her story in Rebels, the mystery of Fulcrum, the revelation of Skywalker's true fate and of course...the events on Malachor. I think I speak for a large number of us when I say I think I would like to know what she was up to during events of a New Hope, ESB and ROTJ. Though we know she survived and aids Sabine in her search for Ezra, I'm curious to see what, if any stories there are left to be told in her tale.
How Rebels became my favorite Star Wars story arc, and how Ezra Bridger became my Favorite Character
Eli Freeman
I should start out by saying that I came in with fairly low expectations. Iβd heard all kinds of bad things about Rebels, and at least some of those things turned out to be true. There were moments when, watching Rebels, I wanted to cringe, and to be completely honest, some of the most cringe-worthy moments in Star Wars, at least for me, were in Rebels. Ezra taking out storm troopers by throwing fruit at them (meilooruns), or Ezra taking out three stormtroopers with his hands cuffed behind his back and then joking about it, or Sabine jumping around the stormtroopers as if she were a Jedi (notice all three of these incidents involve stormtroopers, perhaps my biggest disagreement with Dave Filoni and perhaps a topic for another article). Incidents like these, along with a few other, less notable ones, all served to undermine this show for me. And yet, for all my complaints, and for all my desire to see a story with a crisper, more intense feel, more closely resembling The Clone Wars or better yet, Rogue One, I found myself thinking more and more about what would happen to Ezra as his story unfolded, and even more at the series finale.
I suppose the fact that the show ended on a cliffhanger accounts for a good part of the intrigue. Ezra went through a long and difficult journey and suffered quite a few ordeals for his young age, only to be left in a precarious situation at the last that anyone knows, with everyone, both his friends on the show and the audience in real life, wondering what would happen to him.
But I would like to think thereβs more to it than that.
As annoying as his character could sometimes be, and as much as I might agree with and understand those people who found fault with him, Ezra Bridgerβs journey may represent the greatest transformation of any character in Star Wars, and at the same time, perhaps the most realistic.
At the beginning, Ezra, by his own admission, is fairly immature and selfish, thinking only about himself. But we are given to know that there is a reason for this. From the age of seven he is left on his own and forced to survive by whatever means he can. In this light, his selfish, even mercenary attitude makes sense, and one could interpret his immaturity as a childish, if feeble attempt to stay positive in light of his circumstances, something that many young people with that type
... keep reading on reddit β‘I know that for many people this may seem like shallow/a shallow reason not to like or watch them, but I'm very specific in stuff, and I just can't manage to watch these shows because of the animation style.
I know TCW and Rebels are supposed to be super well written, deep and complex but the animation just completely stops me from managing to see it fully and feel invested on the characters and events onscreen. Take the Genndy Tartakovsky 2003 Clone Wars that served as inspiration for The Clone Wars CGI show; the story which many people criticize as being too simply and focusing more on spectacle, wasn't as well written as the Dave Filoni TCW show, but it knew exactly what it was as animation, and has purposefully exagerated but beautiful fight coreography and visuals that took advantage of its animated form, even at the cost of being too overpowered canonically (which I don't mind, not every visual needs to be Canonical).
Then in the actuL TCW show, I feel everything is so clunky to me. The Clone Wars/Bad Batch and (less so) Rebels attempted emulating Genndy Tartakovsky's art style in CGI form with the crazy proportions and exagerated features, but without the fun movements he drew and animated, the action and the character designs doesn't look nearly as good (in fact, for me, sometimes downright ugly with some characters like Yoda)
I'll take Genndy Tartakovsky's meh plot but stellar animation that takes advantage of the format over Dave Filoni's well written but very rough looking TCW and Bad Batch shows.
This is not saying they're bad shows, that they aren't well written or that the fans shouldn't like it, I just mean it's not for me and wanted to know if other fans feel the same. For years I was sometimes even wary of discussing this opinion because everyone likes TCW so much that you hear nothing but praise about it and any criticism or personal dislike isn't met with positivity by most.
As for Resistance, I feel like it doesn't look as rough for me because it uses a different kind of CGI animation, but it still feels a little stiff like with the What If? MCU shows (wonky but in a different way for me). I mostly enjoyed Visions, though most of the episodes for me also fell into a zone I didn't like because I didn't particularly enjoy those styles of manga/anime.
Thoughts?
Watched the series during it's fun but don't remember much. I'm interested in rewatching the Ahsoka episodes.
