A list of puns related to "Line (software)"
Apologies if I'm not explaining myself correctly or speaking about this in the right terms, I usually work in short form commercial space but have dabbled in long form.
Occasionally, I've had to resync all production audio (I've primarily used the Field Recorder workflow in Pro Tools) because an Editor or Assitant Editor gave me prep with only one audio source in sequence. In a few cases, I was discouraged from requesting Edit to give me the prep resynced with all production audio sources in sequence.
This is unusual to me since in short form, I almost always (99% of the time I'd guess) get an AAF or OMF with everything I need - no reconforming/Field Recorder step necessary.
Curious, for any insight, ideas and guidance about this!
EDIT:
Thanks to u/thecargocultnz for helping me to clarify my questions. Just to be clear, Iβm definitely talking about βassemblingβ as below:
βassembling original production recordings based on the picture editors version of the cutβ
Thanks everyone who has responded so far, seems some folks have surmised I was referring to βassemblingβ and I appreciate it!
Hello Redditors. Sync people. Forgive me for being a (relative) noob.
My team and I are trying to wrangle a whole butt ton of different computers, many at remote locations. The tool of choice is Syncro. And the client is now installed on each of these machines. So part one of the plan is completed.
Our next steps are to setup some policies, deploy a consistent AV and get everything updated. But on the side, I am trying to play with and learn the Syncro capabilites.
I have a machine which needs an install of the Office 365 Local Apps. I could do this manually, or I could use the silent install tool. But I would really like to do it via command line, so that it could be part of a future script.
The problem is that when I remote said machine, I am not finding choco installed. Is there a switch what needs flipping? I thought the choco repository was standard for Syncro Windows assets?
As an aside, I also tried Winget. I had to install this as well. Is that not coming down as part of Windows updates? And is it possible to install MS Office using Winget at all? It was not working for me?
Thanks!!!
I am trying to make a very basic clock but instead of having 1+1+1=3 for example it shows 1+1+1=111 in the serial monitor
void setup() {
// put your setup code here, to run once:
float timer = 0;
pinMode(13, OUTPUT);
Serial.begin(9600);
}
void loop() {
// put your main code here, to run repeatedly:
float timer = timer=+1;
delay(1000);
Serial.print(timer);
}
Hello!
Please check out this short preview of Realm Engine 1.06! It was backbreaking work, but I've finally pounded out a few features that I felt I had to show off. We've also just added a first-person mode so you can walk around your scenes in first person! Might seem odd, but it's rather satisfying to see your builds come to life from that perspective.
Realm Engine is currently available on steam! Keep in mind this software is still early access, so not every feature is ironed out yet, but it's got just about everything you'd want; Easy-to-use building sets, terrain tools, lighting effects, fog-of-war, animated tokens, spell effects, in-game dice rolling, you name it.
The next feature we're working on is proper Multiplayer integration. Currently, to reduce volume, we are allowing beta testing forour followers on Patreon. However, in the future it will be made available for everyone. It's still very experimental, but we'll be hosting a couple demo sessions on our Twitch soon.

<3 Y'all reddit.
The Digital Bureaucracy team is redesigning the DBCChain software to bring the classic bureaucracy into line with the digital age. It will enable the innovative features of artificial intelligence and blockchain, which are developing every day, to be carried out faster, more securely, and with appropriate processing costs of bureaucracy and paperwork that has become a problem for everyone. We are building a blockchain project that goes beyond replacing paper with electronic documents and instead focuses on supporting basic government routines such as approval processes, briefings, meetings, FOI requests, records, and Email management.
Maybe I'm the only one that cares about this, but I'm honestly so tired of how frustrating this aspect of the effect chains work. IL created patcher to improve the effects workflow, and made a fantastic tool that they choose to bastardize and keep the horrific mixer track workflow that's just embarrassingly dated by IL's OWN standards, they can make top tier software that people never knew they wanted but with some important things like this they can drop the ball so hard :/ Idk if its a really hard thing to change because a lot of the daw up to this point is built on top of the existing iteration of the mixer track, but IMO anything they're working on now pales in comparison to how big an impact this issue has on the usability of the whole program as a whole. If they did that, I would probably start recommending it to more people as a daw to try first, because as it stands this and a few other things like the file browser and directory management, sidechaining and routing, and baking into audio time and time again trip people up and continue to trip me up after years of using the software. These aren't issues intrinsic to the strengths of FL Studio, its just dated design and/or bad design that's been left unaddressed.
I'm not a h8r, I really like your software and I appreciate IL's continued service. I just can't handle how brazenly bad some of these issues are compared to the level of functionality and polish they put in everything else they do and the frequency of it. (except the skin editor which at this point is a myth)
If anyone at IL is reading this is, pretty pretty please can U integrate patcher the effect plugin into the mixer effects so that you can see a skeletonized undeditable ver. of the chains where you can at least open the included FX without having to open patcher first?
It happens at times that we don't need to create a database/table, just run some SQL queries on CSV files to test data.
Use a python package CSVKIT
-Install the package with PIP.
-Run the command on command line-
csvsql --query "ENTER YOUR SQL QUERY HERE" FILE_NAME.csv
You can also save the output to a separate CSV file.
Please forgive the throwaway.
Over the last year and especially the last three or four months we are getting an ever increasing number of requests from customers for employee surveillance software and many of these requests are basically that we facilitate eavesdropping and spying on people in their homes.
A customer called this morning and asked if she could view somebodies webcam without the indicator light turning on and that isn't even the worst thing she has ever asked.
These conversations are going places I am intensely uncomfortable with and Iβm curious how far down this rabbit hole the rest of you are prepared to go with your customers.
So i installed steam from the official page, but i want to uninstall and install again using winetricks.
i cant uninstall it from ubuntu software because its not there, and not from apt either. how can i uninstall it?
I remember using an art program that used a different system then most other art software and instead of getting pixelated as you zoomed in everything stayed the same. I also remember you would draw using lines instead of free brushstrokes. you could then adjust and bend the lines you made. It was very different then any other software I've used before. The program Krita has a similar function with their Bezier tool but it's not the same because you can't go back and pull and edit the line you made after you make it.
It was my favorite digital art program and I can't find it
What are the best optimal (free/open source) window software/command line script video converters that makes the file size smaller yet retain the same quality?
Preferably software that uses avconv (ffmpeg) on cpu with crf 24 preset and h265 codec (that offers bulk video converter jobs)?
some of this is a copy-paste job from someone else's post but they have ubuntu and it's standard for their library in terms of how they run their script:
FFREPORT="level=32:file=/home/downloads/reencoded/logs/$2.log" nice -n 19 avconv -i "$inputfile" -report -hide_banner -map_metadata -1 -c:a copy -c:v hevc -preset slow -crf 24 -threads 8 "$outfile"
I put avconv in my c:/ directory similar ffmpeg and set my environment variables via https://github.com/ytdl-org/youtube-dl/issues/7158
The script could be like youtube-dl that calls on anconv, ffmpeg, and everything else library-wise, etc https://github.com/ytdl-org/youtube-dl
or preferably, I would like a software with an user interface that allows me to do bulk jobs and drag and drop videos from different locations to perform multithreading video conversion to make the video file size smaller yet retain the same quality
let me know if I need to describe this any more... this is outdated and doesn't install correctly on current windows machines for some reason https://sourceforge.net/projects/avconv/ and I was wondering if there was more options, thanks
I found https://alternativeto.net/software/avconv/ and I am aware of handbrake but is that the most optimal video converter/size shrinker while retaining the same video quality?
As for recently, it's no longer possible to purchase VST versions of Image Line software.
As a user of these plugins, this is really disappointing to me.
Check out the Harmor page here: https://www.image-line.com/fl-studio/plugins/harmor/ or the Edison page... https://www.image-line.com/fl-studio/plugins/edison/
what do you mean not sold at this time? I could not find any formal announcements about this from the image line staff. Why remove the VSTs if they already exist?
