Me and some friends recently started a save file on the Carrier for when we stream Pulsar, but we can't seem to be able to play Lairs Dice in the lounge. I was under the impression that you could play it on every ship, was I wrong?
One of my favourite games to play with non-gamers is Liar's Dice (also called Perudo, Pirate Dice, Dudo... It has many names). It's a game that's quick and easy to teach and has a fun gambling mechanic that's fun, even if you're not gambling chips or money (as opposed to most versions of poker, where the fun comes from bidding intelligently).
It's a game with many variations. The most common one that I can think of is whether the 1s are wild (count as any face) or not. Does anyone have thoughts on if they like this rule or not? Not having it makes higher number bids less likely, but having the rule makes it more fun for players who have fewer dice. If they get lucky and roll a few 1s, they have a fighting chance.
Any other variations you guys like?
I just discovered an app that let's you play Liar's dice on your phone, and I was wondering if anyone has ever used the dice mechanic for a ttrpg. If not I feel like there's something that could be done with it.
I'm trying to create a DIY version of Perudo / Liar's Dice. Images on BGG and comments I've seen show that there's a board you can use, but I can't work out what the purpose of it is. Can anyone enlighten me?
i think it would be awesome if there was a mode where you play liar’s dice and bet your coins with other pirates, i think it would be cool since it would be a more chill way to get money without having to fight or look for something
Why the fuck would they remove Liar's Dice from Red Dead Redemption?
Imagine that you should play **dices** on every outpost in SoT . If there was a little table in every Inn where would sit some Npc and you should bet some of your golds earned by voyages . If there was a table for 4 player and you would shake them in your own pirates mug ..

Hi everyone! Some time ago, but this year i am pretty sure, because they were playing on the tabletop simulator, Matt and his friends were streaming a game of liars dice. I was looking for the VOD of that game, but could not find it anywhere... Any of you wounderfull people have a idea where it could be?

I saw Drake playing this dice game which I know is liars dice, however he plays it differently. Here is the link to the video if this was a regular game of liars dice between two people then there should be at least 2 cups and 5 dice for each player. However he plays it with just 1 cup shared back and forth with 5 dice. How do I play this version?
Basically each player would pick a character and they’d get 5 of that character’s dice. Figure it might be a challenging spin on a classic, seeing as how you’d need to consider what characters are playing. Oh, no Vader this match?, maybe melee would be light.
Any special rules you’d consider around the standard Liars Dice? I.e. the numbers also matter so a 2 melee and a 1 melee would be 3 melee showing. Etc.
Hey all! I bought a big bag of colourful dice on Amazon a while ago, thinking that they'd be perfect for making up a Liar's Dice game. It's this set https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0779L1316/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which I purchased because I liked the colours more than just getting a big selection of black/white dice.
I was hoping that I'd run across a place that could sell me plastic cups in a rainbow of colours which I could use to match each set of five dice, but I haven't come across anywhere that makes opaque plastic cups in the right size. What cups do you all use for Liar's Dice? Does anywhere know of a retailer that would stock appropriate cups? Should I just give up and buy Skull instead? Advice and discussion would be appreciated!

The place is a ghost town now. I think It's after that mission when you shot up the place looking for someone. Saved multiple times. Don't know what to do. I need to win liars dice in this place for the Bandito outfit.
