Finding least common multiple: how does it work?

I'm looking at methods for finding the least common multiple, but struggle to have an intuitive understanding. There's one that lists prime factorialization, (factorializing them both into primes, then multiplying each prime number by how many times it occurs in the factorialization of the digits) and another which says it's the two numbers multiplied, divded by their greatest common factor. There's one for a fraction which is the LCM of the numerators divided by the GCF of the denominators.

I can't think of an intuitive answer for all of these; if one can explain it, I'd be grateful.

Thank you. Sorry for my continuous posting, it's just that I'm a very, very, very new self-taught math student and I always have questions. :)

LMC (not Least Common Multiple) - Locked Movement Control: ON or OFF/Pros and Cons

This is a Discussion marked post, mean to discuss the pros and cons of Locked Movement Control. For a quick recap, LMC means the blue joystick used to move will not move around the screen with your finger. If LMC is off, the blue joystick will slowly follow your finger. This post addresses which mode is better- on or off. Please format your comments likewise:

Pros:

  • Pro 1
  • Pro 2
  • Pro 3

Cons:

  • Con 1
  • Con 2
  • Con 3

Verdict:

  • LMC ON/LMC OFF

*Note 1: You may have as many Pros and Cons to LMC as you would like. Please pick either LMC ON or LMC OFF for the verdict.

*Note 2: The Least Common Multiple has different initials than Locked Movement Control (LCM/LMC). I know this, but I didn't want people to get confused.

Edit 1: Added explanation of what LMC is. Suggested by u/GelatinouslyAdequate. Also added LCM/LMC explanation (Note 2).

I experienced it both in rl and online (23f)

Which is the least common type multi in Atiny fandom?

From your experience/observation of course.

Atiny has a large amount of multis. Among them most common has been of course Army , EXOL Tiny, StayTinys etc from what I have observed.

But any not so "common" multiTiny like say MooMooTiny, VIPTiny, ShawolTiny, BuddyTiny, or OnceTiny here?

I am myself an ArmyTiny. Although I casually listen to many groups, until recently, I only stanned (as in followed closely, voted, streamed etc) BTS and probably would have been a solo Army but then I came across Wonderland and Answer... and yeah. Rest is history.

Is it common for defendants to talk to the police when they are arrested? Even after multiple arrests?

I'm not a lawyer, but ever since I was arrested, I've been thinking a lot about the criminal justice system. It was my first and only arrest, and luckily, I had learned about the Reid technique from watching random YouTube videos on psychology, so when the detective asked me in that good-cop soft voice if I wanted to clear things up, I immediately said I wanted a lawyer.

I was held at central booking where I was arraigned, and I was assigned a public defender. The first thing she asked was if I had made any statements to the police. I said no, I asked for a lawyer right away, and she started cheering like she had won the lottery. She told me later that it was common for defendants to agree to questioning.

I was really caught off guard about it, because why would the average defendant, who likely has a lot of contempt for cops, want to speak with them? Especially if they are from Black/brown communities where trust of police is already low? When cops literally read Miranda rights before interrogation and they still talk? And there are defendants who are arrested more than once, after the first time I assume their lawyer told them to shut up, and they still agree to be questioned the next time? What's the logic?

How common is it to have this disorder and pick at multiple places?

I have been looking into this condition and am considering bringing it up to my therapist because really relate to it. But before I bring it up I wanted to know if it’s possible to pick in multiple spots? I chew the inside of my mouth, pick at my lip, bite my nails, and bite the skin around my nails. A lot of the diagnostic criteria though says that a person with it will focus on one spot though. Is it possible to have multiple places?

What common misconception (about anything) that’s been proven wrong multiple times do people still believe that annoys you?

(Edit because I forgot to include this) No conspiracy theories because we have no idea if any of those are true or false.

For me, it’s the misconception that the sun’s going to explode when it dies.

The sun isn’t going to explode. The sun is incapable of exploding because it doesn’t have enough mass/weight to be able to do so.

Rather, it’s going to expand into a red giant star, and its surface is going to reach Earth’s orbit. It’ll stay a red giant for about 1,000,000,000 (1 billion) years until it sheds its outer layers into a nebula (which is completely different than exploding as a supernova) until all that remains of it is its former core, which will be a hot and dense white dwarf star after the sun fully sheds its outer layers.
