A list of puns related to "Jeffrey Archer"
"Something smells evil"
"Oh that'd be Jeffrey Archer books, I'm afraid"
I searched a lot to find an explanation, but all I got that it was a joke meant solely for British fans of the show. As an Indian who's only half read ONE Jeffrey Archer book (the one with the guy who overtakes the bad diamond bank guy who signs contracts in Afrikaans), I'm curious as to what that joke is.
Can anyone help me sleep by explaining it to me?
William Warwick and his wife Beth are on a ship to New York for a holiday when they come to terms with the fact that conman Miles Faulkner, who they thought to be dead, is none other than Capt. Ralph Neville β albeit with a changed appearance! Some other startling news also reaches William, and he leaves Beth to her holiday and rushes back to London. This is the last chance to apprehend Miles Faulkner and DCI Warwick will not let it goβ¦
Commander Hawksby forms a special Task Force to do precisely that and Williamβs second-in-command is DI Ross Hogan, who has a sharp mind and a personal reason to wreak havoc on Faulkner. But the slippery con artist, with the assistance of his slimy lawyer Booth Watson, has managed to evade the law on so many previous occasions, will he slip away again??

I am on book 5 in about 3 weeks and have read through books like this in years. Apart from other Jeffrey Archer books what other booms or series should I read. Also love John Grisham and Michael Connelly
I'm looking for a book about revenge. I've read " A Prisoner of Birth" which is inspired by "The Count of Monte Cristo". Any suggestions for a really good book dealing with revenge? It can be trashy, a classic, thriller. Anything.
Many thanks.
I have heard a lot about Jeffrey Archers Novels, I haven't read any. I am still developing a reading habit, I've read most of the Dan Brown and Agatha Christie novels apart from the other very famous thrillers (girl on the train, guest list) So you can see I'm mainly interested in thrillers. Can you recommend which book out of these should I choose?
I am, by no means, a complex reader. I read some of Jefferey Archer's work quite some time ago, I'm 33 now. It stuck to me. Currently reading Catch 22 and loving it.
Please suggest to me some books similar to Jefferey Archer's "As The Crow Flies". I loved how the characters moved through their life and business.
Thanks in advance. Can't wait to hear all the suggestions.
Tenk Agatha Christie/Jeffrey Archer/James Joyce (for sted-beskrivelse)/ Harper Lee (sprΓ₯kbruk som tilhΓΈrer da tidens sΓΈrstatene) , men norske.
Don't get me wrong, I love the template. Have loved it since I picked up the Fourth Estate some years ago, then Kane and Abel, and then probably everything he has ever written. But it's stretched to the point where I feel guilty about enjoying his new book, because it just feels like the last book with new names. Random guy will head a company, will participate in meetings, in aquisition, other random guy will go and be a MP for some reason. Atleast one character will go to Oxford, and both of them will have a textbook fantasy romance. Chance encounters, the charm of the early to mid 20th century Britain and America coupled with random cameos from historical figures. Maybe this is coming from the extremely underwhelming end to his latest Heads to Win. It would suffice to say I absolutely hated how he chose to wrap it off. All that intertwining climatic crap honed through years of writing the same thing, all for nothing. Ugh.
I am looking for books/short stories like Tell Tale by Jeffrey Archer where ordinary people show extraordinary wit.
I'm looking for authors or collections/anthologies of stories that are enjoyable and have twists. I like shrewd observations of human behaviour, wit, humour, realistic stuff, somewhat melancholy and creative fiction. I'm only naming Jeffrey Archer as I'm not exactly well read. Mystery works. Nothing tragic, please.
