A list of puns related to "Industrial and production engineering"
Hey there,
I'm an international student all the way from India.
I'm curious about the Masters courses in Politecnico di Torino.
Specifically the Masters in Industrial Production And Technological Innovation Engineering.
Anyone has any idea about it ?
How's the course? The faculty? Studies for foreign students, money management, etc. etc.
Oh and more importantly, the future after studying this course. Are there enough industries/factories in Italy demanding engineers with that course certificate ?
Which would be better as a minor - management or computer science? Which one would be more beneficial in the future?
I know it seems like an obvious choice but hear me out.
Iβm an international student from South Asia. Did my bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and have minimal work experience (approx 7 months of experience in the software field - totally irrelevant to industrial) in my home country. Iβve received acceptances from the MEng Industrial Engineering program from UofT and Concordia University. And I donβt know which one to choose!!
I know the UofT has a better reputation and ranking however it doesnβt have a co-op option for graduate programs.
Concordia is a lower-ranked university but has a co-op option that would help me gain some Canadian work experience.
Many have told me that co-op is crucial for engineering students, especially for international ones. I also know it is difficult to find that first internship/co-op without help.
Iβm not interested in research or getting a Ph.D., Iβm more interested in getting a relevant job and working in the industry. So, Concordia seems like an ideal fit for me however the super high rank of UofT is also making it hard for me to let go of their offer.
Would it be a bad choice to choose Concordia over UofT?
I am a Mechanical engineering student currently in the first year of the course ,As the title says I want to know the resources for practicing those skills and work some projects related to those skills , where can I find resources for them , PLEASE HELP! I need a starting point.
Why donβt most college industrial engineering programs mandate their students to lear about information systems management and ERP?
Learning about database administration and the basics of ERP systems should be a prerequisite, the same way OR, ergo, and production planning are necessary for an IE.
what does the average day consist of for you?
do you often find yourself taking your work home with you?
How many hours do you put in a week?
what is your opinion of the political climate in regards to your field of expertise?
what is one of the hardest decisions you have had to make on the job?
what personality traits do you find best for this kind of work?
how easy is it for a βgreenβ college grad to get a job in the field?
how big of a difference does a masters degree make?
Do you feel that employees on the business side of the company need to have an education in engineering, or is work experience enough?
what do you see happening to the engineering job market in the next 5 years?
Do you often see Engineers transition into the business side of field?
Hello everyone, first time posting on here.
I was recently accepted into a masters program for a dual degree in IE and MBA. I am torn between doing this and just obtaining just a masters in IE and going for a PhD in the same things I am positive I want to work in industry but also want to be at the top of my field. Any advice ? Thank you
Just curious lol. Am an industrial engineering student but curious what's the difference. Looked through classes for both majors and they're almost the same.
What are the professors that teach IE courses like? Good or bad anything helps

I've interned at this IT Corporate job for the last 10 months and realised I don't have any passion for IT jobs, and rejected the full-time job offer. I've also worked as an intern in a manufacturing company for 2 months when I was in college and I felt no passion for this field as well.
I only got into IT as I didn't have any other choice at the time also I didn't choose industrial engineering as my degree, I was rather pressured into this degree. My academic performance was better than average, with an aggregate of 72% over 4 years. I believe I'm an analytical and rational person.
I'm looking for a career or a job that doesn't drain me completely and leave me mentally exhausted for the rest of the day, and a job that doesn't require me to put anything more than the standard 8 hours. I 100% hate to take any work home with me. A job with a solid structure as I tend to procrastinate if I'm left alone.
I will still consider an IT job or a job in the manufacturing industry, or any job that my degree is worth of. But I want to explore all my options before I surrender myself to an IT job(as it seems to be in plenty where I'm from) to earn my wages.
How do I go about looking for job that I won't regret later and also considering the present covid-19 situation will I able to get a job at all?
Just like the title said. I am failing. One more strike and I'm kicked out of college without any degree. I tried studying so hard using ANKI and memory palace techniques. But I am getting nowhere. I've been hospitalized 3 times. It was a stroke due to intense stress. I can't handle it anymore and I feel like a failure. I don't know what to do if I get kicked out. Society won't value me. What should I do? I can't risk being hospitalized again. :(
Iβm seriously considering making the change but would like to talk to some people who have been in my position before.
Thank you.
I am really confused right now.. i am in 12th grade and after a few months i will graduate. During my career hunt, i have obtained a special interest towars Industrial design. Although its an art degree, it was something i have been searching kinda like a perfect mix of everything i need. Also i am a science freak. I really like to learn about new stuff and have always thought about inventing ideas. In the current scenario, engineering is in most demand. I like fixing and making things with my own hand. But at the same time idk which branch i should choose.(btw electrical and mechanical). What type of engineering i choose is not the real problem, i am considering engg just for a safety/to have a solid base. I cant seem to let go of industrial design from my mind. So i am planning to do a double degree in both. Will it be worth it? Is there any cons in doing a double degree? Any kind of advice is appreciated.
