A list of puns related to "Indoor tanning"
Turns out this was an excise tax provided in Obamacare (the affordable care act of 2010) and it's far short of revenue projections.
Kind of makes you wonder what led to one industry being singled out. Wouldn't bow the knee behind closed doors?
What is your fav indoor tanning lotion? I just started tanning indoors and I want a good lotion that will keep my dry skin hydrated.
Also, what do you use as an after tanning lotion?
An indoor tanning lotion is not a moisturizer. It is intended to serve as an indoor tanning lotion, and it works by adding color to the skin while you are indoors under the ultraviolet lamp. This is usually a powder or cream that is applied to your skin, or sometimes mixed with your regular lotion or oil. Indoor tanning creams provide no coverage and only promote the production of more melanin in the skin, by stimulating the production of melanocytes.
Other indoor tanning lotion products claim to have "thermogenic" properties that increase basal and peripheral blood circulation, causing increased energy and stamina. Most lotions that include active ingredients such as extrapone nutgrass root or blueberry extract are claimed to stimulate collagen production. Indoor tanning accelerators are also available, and they may work by increasing the rate of collagen release from the tissues. Many of the tan accelerators on the market contain natural or synthetic vitamin E, amino acids, resveratrol, or other natural or synthetic compounds that are claimed to be effective in promoting collagen growth.
Tanning accelerators are not recommended for use by people with dry skin or milder complexions. The suntan lotions and accelerators may cause sun sensitivity, even after use. In general, it is best to use a self-tanning lotion or suntan lotion that contains sunscreen. The suntan lotions or accelerators contain UV filters that protect the skin from UV exposure. Self-tanning products should also have SPF protection for optimal protection.
There are two more common types of indoor tanning lotion or suntan lotion. One is bronzer, another is called tansense bronzer. Bronzer works by applying a thin, white film of bronzer to the body. Some of the bronzer products do have sun protection, but the majority do not.
Some people believe that SPF protects against sunburn and that it is an effective indoor tanning lotion. SPF is not effective against UVA. It reflects the sun's ultraviolet rays and actually slows down the aging process of the skin and slows the appearance of wrinkles and age spots. Some experts believe that the aging process is actually accelerated by the sun's UV rays, so wearing sunscreen is actually a waste of money if you are using indoor tanning lotion.
Other indoor tanning lotion products include a bronzing accelerator. A bronzer accelerator stimulates the production of natural oils produced in the skin. These natur

This is for indoors. Iβm curious to see how far you guys take it because I kind of do - however lately, my black-our curtains and everyday sunscreen use has been wearing on me.
Iβm not sure if my body likes so much sunscreen everyday and my curtains make my room mustier than need be. I get worried - maybe even body dysphasia - over how tan I can get. My body has grown so accustomed to sun protection that I burn easily now, so I guess itβs back to being a perfect-skin vampire (:
I have guttate psoriasis and hasnβt cleared at all until I went tanning in a bed. I donβt have health insurance so I had to stop my light therapy at a derm. I have steroid cream but that hasnβt helped at all. I thought about using the uvb bed they have is some tanning salons and the clerk said she had psoriasis too and tans when she gets a flare up. I have just finished 2 weeks of tanning 3 times a day in all level beds and I am almost completely healed.
Are there places with sun roofs you can go to sunbathe when it's cold outside? (As opposed to using a tanning bed).
I'm writing a book with a scene that takes place in a tanning salon.
Does the operator of the tanning bed stay in the room while the customer is in the bed, or she/he must leave the room?
Thanks!
I use a level 5 bed and before this pandemic I had achieved a gorgeous glowing tan. They just reopened and Iβve been back 3-4 times, my ass, back and the back of my legs are so dark but my front (aside side from my face) looks almost untouched, the tan lines are VERY obvious. Nothing has changed, I lay on my back just as I had before. The only actual change would be my lotion and Iβm climbing bed time faster than I had before and going more frequently than I had before. (Before I was using an accelerator lotion now Iβm using one that boosts melanin which in a way is the same thing?) Iβm fairly new, Iβm sure it shows π
Not sure if this has been shared before, but if you want to build a structure indoors you need to either place a staircase on the floor/foundation you want to build on (direction doesn't matter), or destroy the floor next to the one you want to build on and build a staircase leading up to it.
After this is done, it's a matter of playing around with the positioning of the structure and spamming the "build" button until you find where the game will let you place your structure. If you placed a staircase on the floor you want to build on, I've had better luck placing the structure underneath the staircase than around it, so keep that in mind. If you built a staircase leading up to your desired floor, try slow walking up it and keeping your cursor steady, it should let you place the structure near the top of the stairs.
Also for smokers, you will need to make sure the cieling above them is clear so this may mean temporarily removing a roof or floor. Will be uploading photo proof that this works later this evening when I get back on, I've managed to get a smoker, loom, and tanning rack indoors this way.
EDIT: Proof it works
I love to have compelling, tanned skin. It is a real luxury to be able to bathe in the heat of The Sun, and have my skin turn into a more beautiful hue. I started a routine of tanning daily around a week ago, and I am already seeing improvements! Soon, I will be the star of the show, even just walking through Walmart.
Unfortunately, it was raining today, so I decided to get some indoor tanning done, in a tanning bed. I opened Google Maps, and searched for 'Indoor Tanning' and got an advertisement for a new establishment only five minutes away from me!
I drove there, and after speaking to a lady at the front counter, I was their first ever customer, meaning I got a 'special treatment!'
I immediately handed the lady a $20 bill, and told her to keep the change, and she guided me to a tanning bed. I laid down in the bed, and I watched the door shut, followed by two clicks, one of them slightly delayed.
I instantly noticed how bright the lights were! I could barely open my eyes without seeing spots in my vision for the next ten minutes, so I laid down, basking in the light.
I wake up, forgetting where I am, and see the light. I decide that if I had fallen asleep, I'd probably been in there for too long, so I attempt to shove the lid open. I hear a subtle click, followed by a loud clang, and the door didn't budge.
I tried knocking on the lid, only to hear snickering on the other side. I screamed, and no response.
I realized it was all okay. I might be trapped, but at least I'll get the skin tone we all desire.
Originally I was planning to do an indoor session after work with the bronzing booth (UVA) to darken (oxidize) my existing melanin. But it turns out the weather is really warm and beautiful today and so Iβve been getting a little sun already at least on my arms and face.
Iβm wondering if itβs still safe to go for that session, or if my total sun would be too much. Is it OK as long as itβs only UVA? At this point Iβd say Iβm getting maybe an hour max of UVB inclusive sun today, only on exposed areas. UV index is 5, at 25βN latitude.
Wait! Dont down vote on title alone! I have been blessed with having psoriasis, along my rosacea. The psoriasis has basically been in remission for close to a decade. That is until about 5 weeks ago when the spots started popping up. One thing that helps is uv exposure. I plan on applying a high spf sunscreen, physically covering my face, and only going a few minutes at a time, a few times a week I'm wondering if anyone has any tips that could help minimize the effects to my poor red cheeks? Merci!
Help! Lol itβs been about 13 yrs since Iβve been in an indoor tanning bed. Iβm 46 and naturally blonde. (Burn then tan nicely) I need something with a bronzer and something to help firm skin (getting older sucks!) thereβs so many products out there I have no idea which one would be best. I never cared for tingle, I like the bronzer, I just donβt want to be orange. Can someone please point me in the right direction?
From this web page:
> This is not a sales-pitch. When you go to the beach, do you lay out with no sunscreen, oil or lotion on? NO. Because you get darker when your skin is moisturized. It is 100 times more important to wear tanning lotion when tanning indoors. It is harmful for your skin to lay without wearing an indoor tanning lotion. Sunless tanning products and tanning lotions are especially formulated to help you acquire a superbly tanned skin while offering protection against the adverse effects of the sun.
The above paragraph suggests that indoor tanning lotion somehow protects your skin. Other web sites praising tanning lotion say that it helps you tan. Common sense indicates both cannot be true: either something reduces UVA/UVB rays (protecting your skin and reducing your tan, like a sunscreen) or increases UVA/UVB (like a tanning oil - increasing exposure).
One thing that seems not disputed is that tanning lotion provides some moisterization. Which has multiple benefits - both for skin in general and also for tanning. I don't doubt that. But I wonder if one could achieve the same effect by using any regular moisturizing lotion for 1/10th the cost.
Even the Wikipedia page - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indoor_tanning_lotion - raises some alarm bells including some flak on the Talk page.
Is indoor tanning lotion snake oil? Assuming that one is going to tan indoors, is there any benefit to tanning lotion over a good moisturizer? (Assume one can tan as much as one wants for the same cost, and one doesn't care about getting more tan per minute of exposure.).
