I inherited 15 acres of densely wooded land on a Native Reserve in Canada. It has 300 feet of road frontage, and goes back about 500 yards. I canβt sell it, and if I could I wouldnβt get much for it because I canβt sell it to non-community members. I donβt pay any property tax on it, and any business I start would not be subject to income taxes.
I donβt have a lot of capital, and I live a couple hours away in a big city where I have a pretty good job Iβd rather not quit. Beyond the $20k I have saved, I would have to take out loans to develop the land, which can be hard to acquire when building on a reservation.
Anybody have any ideas to make some money? Drive in theatre? RV Storage? Paintball? Also, its a little less than a mile from a big Casino. The casino already has more than enough parking, so that idea is out. Bus parking/cleaning?
Iβm open to any weird crazy ideas you have. Open to anything.

I was recently talking with my girlfriend about her father and how he works as an emergency room physicians assistant on a Indian reservation here in Arizona. She told me he quit his job at a clinic to work there because he was offered so much. He has been there for a few years now. He makes around 400K per year working there. He does nothing else but attend to the emergency room seeing patients. I did some research because I was surprised of his pay, I found that pretty much no physician assistants make anything near that. My girlfriend said it is because the Indian Reservation will pay to get workers there. He receives a flat $500 bonus if he is called into work on a day off on top of his normal pay (he does have a long drive to work).
Have you heard of a salary this high anywhere else? Or is this an exception to the norm.
