A list of puns related to "Hepatitis C"
Actually just in general is any kind of disease be it blood borne disease or not bad for vampires?
Like the title says, I (19M) have never done anything that could have transmitted Hep-C to me, but after donating blood a while back, I was informed that I had tested positive for it.
I went and got tested again because I knew that that couldn't be right. I tested positive again. I told the doctor that I had never done anything that could transmit hep-c, so he took some more blood and tested me again, this time, I tested negative.
I've been told that I somehow have the antibodies for Hep-C, but not the virus.
My question is this: Can I donate blood and can I donate plasma?
In case any of this info is pertinent, I am a 19-year-old male.
Hello. Corrections NP here (county jail). The guidelines for HepC treatment are a bit unclear at my facility. The physicians I work with have 2 different plans. One sends for a fibroscan if the HCV RNA is elevated. The other calculates the APRI and FIB-4. If the APRI is >1.5 & FIB-4 is >0.5, she sends. What guidelines are you using? I donβt want to send patients unnecessarily.
March the 2nd I got into an altercation with a guy who tried to rob me off my phone, but due to a stunted amygdala, I didn't get scared, so I fought back.
The altercation started with me walking down this hill in a forested area, I saw this man who was walking up the hill and when he got a bit closer he asked if he could ask me something. Before I was even able to answer he grabbed me by my right shoulder with his left hand, putting a knife to my throat with his right hand.
I didn't really react to this due to me having a lack of impulsive fear, so I asked him what he was doing and that's when he started to shout at me that he wanted my phone. I wasn't really responding because I was thinking of a way that would allow me to get out of this situation without giving him my phone but I got interrupted in my thoughts when he started throwing me around with his left hand, this worked in my favour because the knife was no longer at my throat and I was able to put my phone in my pocket without him noticing.
The tip of the knife was now facing towards my stomach but I was able to grab his right hand with both of my hands and that's when the adrenaline kicked in, so now I am trying to make sure that this man won't stab me because it was very clear that he was trying to do so, I put all of my strength into making sure that I didn't lose my grip.
After about two minutes of this going on, I noticed that there was this man looking at us from down the hill, I shouted for help and this clearly startled the man who was trying to rob me because he let go of me and started to walk up the hill roughly 30 seconds after I shouted. What I noticed after this altercation was that I had been cut by the knife on both of my wrists and hands.
As soon as I managed to catch my breath I started to jog towards the bus station that was nearby and I was lucky because I managed to get there right in time for my bus, while on the bus I recorded a video of my cuts on my phone.

A few weeks later I start feeling sick but when this feeling never really starts going away I start to wonder why that's when I started to suspect the cuts of being the reason why so fast forward to today when I had my appointment - I get my blood tested and it comes back positive for Hepatitis C. It turns out that I got infect
... keep reading on reddit β‘I apologize if this is the wrong subreddit for this. The father of an Egyptian who is close to me is currently struggling with Hepatitis C and it very well may take his life. I understand that while vaccinating for another disease, the Egyptian government did not implement clean medical practices and today Egypt leads the world's Hepatitis C cases because of this. When I learned about this, my first thought was that he should be able to sue. I have been looking into if there is any legal precedent in suing the Egyptian Ministry of Health or some other entity because of these malpractices, but I haven't been able to find anything. Do you know of anyone who has been able to be compensated because of this issue? Do you know where anyone in this situation can find resources?
This is in California or Oregon. Places they have recently gotten work. Iβm wondering if there is anyway to report this within the industry. Iβm worried about other people being exposed because of this persons careless actions. Hep C can get you blacklisted in the industry but can take up to three months to show up on a test. So a talent test may not detect this in time. Other peopleβs livelihood could be at stake. I donβt know what to do and I am scared that someone is going to get hurt. Iβm not even sure of the legal standing on all this. Any suggestions?
For me in Singapore. Yes. I have to fork out $15000 and that's just for the medication alone. I have not included lab tests and hospital visits. How is it like for you and patients in your country?
I don't understand this. Getting infected with Hepatitis C via Cryoprecipitate isn't our fault. Why do we have to pay for it?
I went thru the cure for hep. c 3 years ago and am virus free now. Is it safe to switch to bica instead of the 100 mg. spiro I am on now? Will my doctor refuse because of this?
Unlike hep B, most adults infected with Hep C develop a chronic form of the disease with it getting cirrhosis or cancer. How does it achieve that evasion? When an infected cell 'bursts' are there no immune cells around to detect the antigen? My simplistic understanding of HIV is that it hides in T-cells.. where does Hep C hide? How much of a role does genetic variability play wwhen it comes to immune evasion?
