A list of puns related to "Harry Bailey"
So I've been reading Medical Apartheid by Harriet Washington recently (an excellent source for all kinds of bastards to be honest) and one person that she touches upon is an Australian psychiatrist called Harry Bailey. The following is a summary of what his life is like in the book:
He started working at Tulane University in 1955 where he was funded by the CIA to to conduct mind control experiments on black subjects including implanting electrodes into their brains to deliver charges to the limbic system to stimulate the reward system. This could be done by a remote operator.
He did this to black prisoners but also potentially other black patients too - where it is not known how he got consent. He also very freely bragged about how it was "cheaper to use n*****s than cats because they were everywhere and at the bottom of the can."
He also tested African American prisoners using LSD and bulbocapnine to induce coma and stupor - the CIA also wanted to know if bulbocapnine could produce aphasia, memory loss or sabotaging of willpower.
He then returns to Australia where he opens a deep sleep therapy clinic for depression and other psychiatric issues at Chelmsford Hospital in Sydney. This is essentially a cover-up for inducing patients into barbiturate induced comas where he experimented on patients, doing things such as repeated ECT or inserting metal plates into their brains. He also sexually abused female patients that were in these comas.
There were a lot of deaths caused by this however he covered them up by shipping them off to other hospitals. The death count is at least 65 but likely more. He completed suicide before he could stand trial with a barbiturate overdose.
I couldn't see a thread for this particular bastard on the subreddit and I don't think Robert has covered them before - at least it didn't happen when searching his name (I haven't listened to all the BtB episodes yet!) It just seemed like one hell of a story, maybe not enough for a two parter.
Here's a New Scientist article: https://www.newscientist.com/article/mg12917500-400-nightmare-on-chelmsford-sydney/
And here's the link to a book about the subject: Sorry I only could find either Amazon or Goodreads links.
What are some of the pros vs cons of the 2 places? I'd like to try and do some lane swimming 1-2 times a week. I have never been to the Shaw centre and haven't been to HB in years. Which one is less busy, cleaner, has a better gym, etc?

Interested in how the Bills roster stacks up against their opponents? Me too, and because of that I spend a significant amount of my time analyzing five key matchups for every Bills game; Bills Pass Offense vs. Opponents Pass Defense, Bills Rush Offense vs. Opponents Rush Defense, Bills Pass Defense vs. Opponents Pass Offense, Bills Rush Defense vs. Opponents Rush Offense, and Bills Special Teams vs. Opponents Special Teams. After doing this I try to determine βWhy Buffalo Will Loseβ and βWhy Buffalo Will Winβ which ultimately leads me to a Prediction. Below I present 2021βs 18th iteration of this analysis for the Bills upcoming home Playoff Game against the Patriots. Included is a scale to rank the advantage in each matchup from πππππ (Massive Advantage) to π (Minimal Advantage).
The rubber match of the 2021 Bills, Patriots series provides an opportunity to dig even deeper into what makes these two teams click. Instead of focusing on the obvious differences in offensive and defensive game plans this analysis will highlight how each team uses, or is abused by, their own aggressiveness. As luck would have it there is no better place to begin breaking this down than with one of the most aggressive QBs in the NFL versus one of the more aggressive Pass Defenses. Itβs worth pointing out that I have argued, and will continue to do so, that if Bills QB Josh Allen plays at the peak of his abilities than there is not a team in the NFL capable of beating Buffalo. At the same time though, there may be no one person more capable of preventing Allen from reaching that level of play than Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick.
In the first two games of this seasonβs series the Patriots utilized the blitz against Buffalo more than they did the majority of the season, albeit in different ways. In Game #1 they blitzed Allen on 33% of his drop-backs more often than not by sending 6 rushers whose sole intent was to pressure Allen. In Game #2 that blitz percentage dipped slightly to 28.6% however the strategy changed drastically. Blitz packages were much more varied ranging anywhere from 4-8 rushers but there was a shift in focus from pressure to containment. The Patriots effectively wanted Allen on the move in Game #1 and for him to stay in the pocket in Game #2, the latter being a grave mistake. Game #2 was arguably the best professional game of Allenβs career, all things considered, which saw him produce one of the
... keep reading on reddit β‘From the previews this looks like the duel of the season. They both look so strong and James and Harris look like theyβll win the most improved award. This was an amazing episode sure the pairings that happened werenβt the best (even though my prediction of the pairings ended up being right) but the actual decisions of who won I fully agreed with and not only that Iβm now super exited for the next episode. I still hate the duels as chibi unity and MDC3 were the two best performances of the night and itβs sad to see chibi go but I hope for redemption.
