Feasibility of a hydrogen-powered ground effect vehicle?
Hello all,
While studying ground effect vehicles for a student research project, I noted that many models were seaborne and had a rather large carrying capacity. Is it feasible to design a GEV to both be hydrogen powered and have an onboard electrolysis unit to achieve a net-zero emissions aircraft with an βunlimitedβ fuel source that can be topped off between or potentially during flights? Are there many drawbacks to such a system? A major one I could see is pulling water up mid-flight for refueling, as it would be difficult to direct the spray into an intake port.

Do Ground Effect Vehicles work in game as actually Ground Effect Vehicles?
When close to flat ground there is reduced drag to allow faster time to get up to speed primarily for aircraft. Some vehicles have been made to utalise this principle.
Here is the Wikipedia page for Ground Effect Vehicles

My question is do they work or are they just planes otherwise?

I think the core gameplay is 10/10..BUT is anyone else bothered/disappointed by the plasma grenade/vehicle explosion animation? It literally just looks like a can of paint exploded...after effects don't even show char marks on the ground. Just what looks like paint. I think it was very poorly done.

This 380-ton Lun-class Ekraonoplan was abandoned for 30 years following the collapse of the Soviet Union. Ground Effect Vehicles, also known as "ekranoplans," are an hybrid between airplanes and ships, they skim the surface of the water at a height of between one and five meters (three to 16 feet).

Looking for fiction I read as a child in school. Ground effect vehicle and a cave tunnel that went back in time.
This was in a 3rd or 4th-grade school textbook from the early to mid-70s.
It was a short story where two boys go through a cave tunnel back in time to the Revolutionary or Civil War era. I also vaguely remember something about Pewter dishware and a Ground Effect Vehicle which I didn't really understand at the time.
As this was the first science fiction that I ever read, I'm curious and would like to read it again.
