Remember Virtual Pets? They were quite popular in the late 90s and were marketed under several different brand names, including Nano Baby/Puppy/Kitty and Giga Pets. Usually, they consisted of a palm-sized computer housed in a plastic casing with a monochrome LCD, a key ring, and 3 or 4 face buttons.

(Archispirostreptus gigas) Giant African millipedes can grow up to 12inches in length. They are "detritivores" who break down rotting items on the forest floor. They will also chew on rocks which are rich in calcium to maintain their exoskeleton. They are quite docile and can be kept as pets also.

Anyone know if Giga Pets AR save your score?

I just got a low battery warning on my Giga Pet AR T-Rex. The improved one with the red shell. Seems sooner than I expected, I feel like the older ones lasted a few months at least. I know some recent virtual pets like more recent digimon save your progress so I want to make sure. If it saves I'll install a new battery, but if not I'll just put the T-Rex away for a while and focus on other virtual pets. 19 days isnt bad I guess.

EDIT: I decided to rip off the Band-Aid and just take the battery out. Do if anybody just happens to want to know the answer to this, no, it does not save. Your score will be gone, and you have to start a brand new egg, and even enter a new name.

Kind of bogus that the battery life on this was so short when the pat itself was one of the easiest to take care of that I have had.
