A list of puns related to "Generic drug"
>California could make its own insulin and other prescription drugs in an effort to lower costs under a bill Gov. Gavin Newsom announced he signed into law Monday.
>
>Newsom first proposed that California create its own prescription drug label in his January budget proposal. The legislation Newsom signed, Senate Bill 852, attempts to implement that plan by directing Californiaβs Health and Human Services Agency to explore partnerships with drug manufacturers that could make drugs more affordable and accessible.
>
>California wouldnβt develop new drugs under the law, but would instead try to make cheaper versions of generic drugs, or drugs that are no longer protected by patents.
>
>The agency will have to explore whether such an arrangement would be legal and cost effective. The law specifies that any arrangements include production of at least one form of insulin, which about 7.4 million Americans with diabetes take to regulate blood sugar.
>
>Drug market experts say insulin is a particularly difficult drug to manufacture, but if California finds a way to make its own, it could reap significant savings. Between 2002 and 2013, insulinβs list price nearly tripled, prompting some diabetes patients to ration the life-saving drug.
>
>βCalifornia is using our market power and our moral power to demand fairer prices for prescription drugs,β Newsom wrote in a statement. βI am proud to sign this legislation affirming our ground-breaking leadership in breaking down market barriers to affordable prescription drugs.β
>
>Despite the potential for savings, itβs unknown how much it might actually cost for California to manufacture its own insulin and other drugs, according to an analysis by the Assembly Appropriations committee. In January, the Legislatureβs financial analyst pointed to the plan as one part of the governorβs budget proposal where lawmakers should proceed with
Title says it just looking for some info
I have CareFirst with Caremark. I picked up six prescription drugs today at CVS. All prescriptions are generic tier 1 drugs. According to my plan- all generic drugs are 10 dollars - with absolutely no mention of deducible. I paid 3-5 times more for stuff I paid 10 dollars for last month and even a week ago. For example: Devenlafaxine succnt ER - 25mg - paid 36.30 filled 27DEC Devenlafaxine succnt ER - 100mg - paid 10 filled 20DEC. I called and Caremark claims I was charged more (it was 4 prescriptions in total) because I didnβt meet my deductible. But according to my plan and all the other times I paid, the generic drugs donβt have to be part of the deductible. I am dying on this hill. Please let me know I am not crazy.

Looking for a generic alternative for an expensive drug.
It's a thing in medicine, but the medicine subreddits are occupied by extreme cunts that don't allow anyone to post but medical professionals with no alternatives. r/medicine is literally the only subreddit
From what Iβve found the biggest difference is the buffers that I think control the drugβs delivery. Iβve taken both the name brand and generics for a couple drugs and both times they had different effects psychologically.
How do the βpassiveβ chemicals in a drug impact its function in the body? Is it a question of pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, or both? Is it partially a placebo effect because you know the name brand is more expensive?
Is there a bigger difference between generic vs. name brand for non-psychoactive vs. psychoactive drugs?
Iβm really curious let me know what yβall think

After talking with insurance, it seems that only tablets will be cheaper. I haven't tried, but I'm worried my son won't be able to swallow the tablets.
Does anyone know if any of the extended release versions of methylphenidate can be crushed or if there are capsules that can be opened? I don't want to interfere with the extended release, so I doubt it.....
Any other suggestions? I need a drug with these qualities:
-extended release, lasts at least 8 hours -doesn't have to be swallowed whole -has a generic version in the USA -comes in low kids dosage
This is my last hope before I just have to rely on forcing him to learn to swallow pills.....
