It was (I believe) a short story. Read a long time ago so apologies for inaccuracies.
The girls sign into an hotel, and decides to go to the hotel bath.
They travel down a very long set of stairs to get there.
Once there, one girl hops in the pool, before the other girl notices that no-one is talking, and everyone is facing away from them. The girls retreat back up the long stairs and asks a worker whats up with the bath. They respond with "we have no bath".
95% sure it was a Junji Ito short story, but could be wrong.
