Hello...!
...a friend of mine is selling a Fender HM STRAT 2020 for 800 euros.... ( and i am thinking in case of buying AN upgrade bridge with Gotoh ) but i was ready to get a DK24 HH MIM brand new..
Same price in the end for both... around 1000 euros...

Thanx in advance
Hello everybody!
So recently, the middle single coil pickup from my 1987-88 Fender HM Strat (Serial Number starting with the letter G) has died (going from 5.6kOhm to a whooping 1.59MOhm) and I would like to know what model of true single coil pickup Fender used back then in the Fuji-Gen factory.
I'd like to replace it with something as close as possible to the original one if possible
Iβve been looking at the HM strat reissue to buy next , i love the pink color and the font on the headstock. I tried it out today at guitar center and i loved it, but iβve been hearing that people are saying there is no reason to buy it because itβs over priced and you can get better for cheaper. what guitars offer the same feel ,playability and have better hardware than that guitar for lower or the same price at $1200? also , is the squire HM much different and would the fender be worth the price increase?
I have one of the original Fender HM Strats that I believe is a US model because the middle pickup has red/white wiring (according to the wikipedia page). This is my favorite guitar to play, it just sounds and feels amazing. Im just not crazy about the whammy bar anymore and Im not going to go through the whole thing of removing/replacing the bridge. I believe this model has a 25.15" scale length and 17" radius. What are the other specs for the neck of this guitar? I would love to find a guitar with the same exact specs, just hardtail and different pickups would be fine because I could change those whenever. I'd also like a maple neck, but in terms of neck shape, frets, scale, radius, Id like it all to be the same.
The Fender HM Strat is $1199. I mainly want to play Steve Vai, Greg Howe type of music. I don't really want an Ibanez RG because I don't like the colors of the current line up. (I'd prefer just a solid white guitar, also something not so pointy shaped). Anything else worth considering for the ~$1000 price point?
Morning folks! I just picked myself up a reissue Fender HM strat (flash pink) and this thing is a beast! I've been a strictly tele guy for the last 6 years so this thing is certainly change of pace. I'm looking at changing out the neck and middle pick-ups to get more of that classic strat sound from this guitar. I'm a working musician and I want my instruments to cover a range of styles, not be one trick ponies. I know buying a HM strat seems counter intuitive to that last sentence but c'mon, these guitars are rad! So the question is, what do I put in the neck and middle to achieve much more of those classic strat sounds when clean/on the edge? Most of the music I play sits in that clean/slight break up territory so I'm after those classic stratty sounds with an emphasis on more low end and warmth if possible. Through my work I have connections with Fender, Seymour Duncan and Dimarzio so keeping recommendations in those ballparks is preferable. Thanks in advance!
My dad had one of these in the 90's in pepto bismol pink, but he sold it. He keeps talking about how much he regrets selling it and I'd love to surprise him with one for his birthday, any color
Player Strat in candy red burst
I've been playing Les Paul-style HH guitars (mostly Ibanez Artist and AX models but also an Epiphone LP custom at some point) since I first started playing 23 years ago. For whatever reason, I have never been drawn to Strat style guitars. I had many excuses, but if I'm being honest I think it was mainly because strats we're too commonplace and boring to me...I wanted to be a bit different from the herd.
Well last week I stumbled upon a local sales listing for a barely-used Fender Player Strat bundled with a bunch of pedals and an amp for a total of $500. I couldn't resist...I have since sold the pedals for ~$400, so the strat came to a grand total of $100. Unbelievable deal, right?
Well at first I wasn't so sure because, compared to my various Japanese / Korean / Chinese-made Ibanez guitars, the MIM strat had a lot of annoying little setup issues. The nut slots and saddles were too high, neck relief was excessive, a few frets weren't level, the bridge kept lifting up with 10's on it, and the fret ends were incredibly sharp. I spent the past 3 days working on this thing and I think it's finally at the point where it feels as comfortable to play as my trusty Ibanez guitars. The only remaining challenge is trying to figure out how to get the tones I envision from the single coil pickups (which are a new concept for me) when plugged into my audio interface using Cakewalk... but I'm sure that's just a teething issue.
Bottom line: After so many years of irrationally looking down on them, I'm finally ready to open my heart to a strat...and I couldn't be more excited!
UPDATE: Thanks so much to everyone for all the kind words and great suggestions! Haha, I guess the easiest way to go viral around hear is with a strat NGD π
UPDATE #2: I'm happy to report that after swapping the 10's for 9's, adding a few springs to block the tremolo, lowering the pickups, and tinkering with neck relief & saddle height I have finally got it set up to my liking. And instead of using amp sims in Cakewalk I tried plugging it in to the cheap Fender Mustang practice amp that the guitar came with. The end result? I LOVE it!!! Yes, against all odds I'm now a converted strat guy. Thanks again for all the suggestions

A friend of mine, who I regularly hung out with between 2000-2005, had this awesome Fender HM Strat. I loved playing on it, I always insisted playing it when I was at his house.
Now that I'm old and I have a little bit of money, I want a good Strat. But not a normal "good Strat", but a fast-playing one.
Who's selling a Strat body (not pointy-Strat like the Ibanez) with a fast neck?
More asking in terms of quality and feel, pickups can obviously be changed and the bridge pickup is often changed in a lot of hm's you'll find today. I'm talking specifically about the USA-made HM that looks like this. HSS, american standard pickups in the neck/middle, dimarzio super 3 in the bridge, kahler spyder trem, 25" scale length.
I know they were never supposed to be expensive guitars, but being made in america and pretty rare they only go for like $600-650USD, back in the 90's it was probably more like $400. I know they're pretty unique and thats why I like them, but do they compare in quality to what charvel has to offer these days? I've seen demos on youtube but that doesn't tell you all that much. Even my shitty 1987 Vester jackson dinky ripoff shreds through a marshall half-stack, but it feels like a dead piece of plywood when you turn off the amp. Not sure if that's just the 'licensed' floyd sucking the tone out of it, or the 30 year old plywood and 1 inch thick layer of poly working its magic.
taken out of my razzberry '89 usa fender HM strat bridge position. Hex poles.

[question] hey all - this is my first time selling an instrument so any tips would be appreciated. I have an early 2000s fender Highway one hss Stratocaster in good condition. I noticed the price has nearly tripled since I bought it in 2004(ish). I donβt play it anymore so Iβm looking to part ways. Any decent websites to list it - reverb, eBay, etc? Is guitar center a good option or do they low ball the offer? I think the Highway one model isnβt produced anymore so Iβd like to get the price they are going for online that Iβve seen on eBay or reverb (used).
I know these guitars are rare and the chances of me finding one is slim to none but has anyone seen them for sale recently or know of a good site that sells vintage Fenders (or gear for that matter)?
