I wanted to hate it. I wanted it to be a giant flop. I wanted it to be miserable without Gord, but the second that the song title was revealed I knew it was going to be something special. I´m looking for new inspiration what to read. I read the whole Midkemia cycle of Feist everything Sanderson has and WoT.
My favourite stuff about Midkemia is probably the Magic and the different races, in WoT I really loved the battles and how the tactics got explained it was just great, even tho I don´t have any clue about it lol.
The Concept of magic in the cosmere is awesome too but I have to admit that I sometimes got really mad while reading the stormlight archives because I wanted to know what happens to one specific character and Sanderson made me jump to another one lol.
I also read the Mither Mages written by Orson Scott but have to say it felt kind of boring.
Has anyone any recommendations for me? Especially something with magic, different races and big battles where they explain what´s happening and why?

Gemmell got me into fantasy, but was introduced to Feist by a friend at 16, who recommended Magician, and absolutely loved the characters. I did a reread 15 years later thinking maybe it would not resonate with an older me and I still loved it.
The books cover hundreds of years, and the world continually expands, new countries, new continents, new worlds.
Some characters are long lived and appear throughout the series, sometimes as the focus and other times they are secondary characters.
Other characters you get introduced to as children and you get to follow them through their eventual deaths. Some of those deaths are the most impactful deaths I have ever read given how much i got to watch those characters grow.
Eventually those same characters that you watched from childhood to death become legends in their own right as their grandchildren or great grandchildren become involved in the story.
I’ve honestly had never read anything like it. I think Sanderson is starting to do this with Mistborn and the Era 1, Era 2, Era 3 approach, but I have not seen many examples of following characters over such an extended period of time within a world or universe.
Would be interested in others thoughts on Feist as none of my friends really read fantasy.

I have a few knives to sell I like them all but I have others things that are more my style.
First the Protech Malibu. I’m it a flipper guy and people love this flipper so I gave it a try. I’m the first owner and It’s great and I almost kept it but, I’m not a flipper guy. I’ve flipped it but never carried it, cut and anything with it, sharpened or disassembled it. It’s brand new and a week old. Grade A. SV 205-sold
Second is the Spyderco PM2 Tanto in S30V. I’m the first owner and I really love this knife but I rarely carry it so off it goes. I don’t think ever ever cut anything with it and I’ve never disassembled or sharpened it. There’s a small mark on the back of the G10 that shows in the video. I hadn’t even noticed it until I rewatched the video. Grade -B maybe. SV 195- sold
The third is a Jade G10 Kizer Feist in M390. I’m the first owner and I’ve carried this about 15 times and cut a few boxes, not much. I’ve never sharpened or disassembled it. The blade has some faint marks on it I capture in the pictures. Grade C SV 70-sold

I believe she was blonde and possibly British. I think the sound was somewhat similar to Feist's 1234. At the end of the video everyone comes together in a sort of gathering. Production quality was above indie quality and it came out sometime between 2008-2014.

1.) Real Steel Rokot [C] - Lamnia Exclusive Satin S35VN + Shread CF. This thing has a phenomenal action. Drop shut on the close and snappy on the thumb studs/front flipper. The last owner said it was uncarried but there are some very slight marks on it, maybe from manufacturing since they are perfectly straight and faint. There are a couple of very small marks on the blade and on the pocket clip. It is a touch off center but I haven't tried fixing that because I was so happy with the action. 2.) Hogue/Doug Ritter Mini-RSK® MK1-G2 Knifeworks Exclusive - G-Mascus® Red G-10/Stonewashed [A] - This one is in new/uncarried condition, I have just flipped it and put it in the display case. This thing is an incredible knife. Amazing action. Hogue does the axis lock better than BM. I just like my Deka SLIGHYLY more and they are similar enough where I don't really need both. If you thumb flick this one it has a little bit of lock stick like all Hogue axis locks. If you reverse flick it or roll it open there is no stick. Centering is dead on. 3.) Kizer Feist Black Micarta (Updated Lock Bar) [C] - This one has seen a little bit of carry and a lot of flipping. The action is perfect and great. The centering is perfect. This is the updated version with better lock bar access. The blade is in perfect condition with factory edge. The Pivot has very faint scratches from adjustment and the clip has a little bit of scratching from carry. The micarta has darkened a little bit from my hands. Now let ME be honest. It's a C grade for use, carry, sharpening and an acid wash. That being said, the edge is well sharpened and still very cutty-pokey. The acid wash is a little uneven but I like the distressed look, it's kinda cool, see pics. The clip has some light scuffs that are pretty hard to see but definitely there.
On the upside, shes centered perfectly, locks up tight at around 30%, super snappy, detent takes some practice. Great little user or b-ball shorts carry.

Urban EDC Exclusive Feist (C for light pocket clip scratch) - I'm the first owner of this one. It has been carried a couple times and picked up a small scratch on the clip, but it never cut anything. In my opinion the nicest Feist out there. Steel is S35VN and linen micarta. Knives Plus Exclusive QSP Penguin in S35VN (C for oiled micarta and some micro scratches on the blade) - First owner on this one. This is nicer than any $60 knife has a right to be. Super smooth and great in the hand. The micarta has been oiled and is a nice dark blue. I've carried it a couple times and broken down a box or two with it. It has some micro scratches on the blade, you know, the kind that are hard to get on camera and you have to hold at the perfect angle in the right light... Hey knaf heads, whenever I leave my Kizer Feist for a few hours, when I get it out and try to open it, the blade is jammed somehow such that it's impossible to open normally.
I have to wiggle the blade (which is centered) side to side a few times and press the flipper really hard (and very carefully!) to get it to budge and then finally open. Then it's fine - until I leave it closed for a few hours.
It was like this when I got it and I've since disassembled and lubed it - same problem.
Anyone know what's going on? Anyone else have this problem? Any potential solutions? Cheers

Feist is another puzzle/action platformer that has very similar artwork like Limbo. Check it out if you like dark,movie like graphics. I was pleasently surprised when I played it so I would recommend it if you crave for more experience.
