Hope everyone is doing well. Recently finished setting up a little jam/recording space (pictured here) at my place in North Raleigh. Just posting to see if anyone else has been looking for folks to get together and jam. Not looking for anything too serious right now, just wanting to drink a few beers and casually play or record some music for fun. I have drums, bass, guitars, mics, midi instruments with Ableton Live and virtual synths. I am pretty flexible on style but don't really play much pop-punk/generic pop rock or metal (except for doom/stoner metal type stuff). My top Spotify artists of all time are linked here just note that I have been using that account since early high school and also share it with my wife occasionally. Hi there! As a passionate music listener I've always wanted to make music and share the creative process with other people. While I don't have a whole lot of skill musically, I don't think that detracts from my creative drive or effort. I mainly work with synth VSTs and drum machines, and I plan on taking an online course for guitar soon. I'm a big fan of effects and textures which is why I'm aiming for an experimental rock band with electronic elements ala This Heat, Talking Heads, Sonic Youth, black midi, King Gizzard, Zappa, etc. I'm mainly looking for guitar, bass, drum, and synth/key players who like this sort of stuff and wouldn't mind working in a group ready and willing to explore new musical structures. Below is a link to some demos I made last year, most of them are very chiptune-y in nature bc of what I was listening to at the time. Hey y'all, I hope this is an okay place to post this. I'm looking for electric bass, flute, and a clarinet player. I've been composing some music in this format and am hoping to play some shows and record the material. This is not a jam band. All parts are written out fairly rigidly to fit together so you should know how to read music (guitar tabs will be available too). Some pieces will be difficult with interwoven melodies and odd time signatures but nothing super fast.
