I'm working on a telescopic suppressor design for 9x19 and later scaled for 45ACP, and I have come up with following concept idea:

The picture is only reference and the dimensions are not accurate(for ex the baffle holes are oversized due to scaling), because it was originally done as a show-up model, but the basic structure should be following:

1. Starting from 40mm trued steel tube, a true turned and threaded cap is welded to the end (right end). The barrel has unconventional design into where the threads used to mount the suppressor are the same that the barrel is attached to a the trunnion of the gun.

2. The support collar houses the barrel end, to improve rigidity. Optional. This concept is for 150mm barrel, but the final barrel length will likely be 100mm, because it would better keep the round subsonic with commercial heavy bullets without making extra compensation holes to the barrel as is done with MP5SD.

3. The baffles are deep drawn with simple punch, mandrel and die with hydraulic press into final shape by one pass, excess plate is shaved off and trued in lathe and 10.5mm hole is drilled for uniform dimensions. This process is tried and tested working. The sheet metal should be 1.5mm minimum.

4. The baffles are welded directly to the suppressor frame tube, to minimize weight instead of packing them in the tube. The first baffle, as referred in the picture, can have extra tube welded to it to increase retention. I'm experienced TIG welder, so this is more of a fun-fun than a challenge.

5. The suppressor muzzle has threads to adapt a cap that will allow the use of suppressor wipes.

Now, the main question here is, is the large expansion chamber effective at retaining the blast, or should more baffles be used? Most suppressors are of conventional design, but I have seen this telescopic concept used in some products, such as some European manufacturers, was it Norwegian originally, who called them reflex suppressors. One of their design was for UZI that threaded directly to the barrel nut threads, locking in the barrel, and apparently it was effective.

I was also thinking if a hollow suppressor might vibrate excessively compared to a structured silencer? I mean, it would be counter-productive to make the gun sound like plinking plate.

Also, I don't know if aluminum would hold up, unless a thicker sheet is used? It is plenty weldable with tig, so it's an option too, but the

I just finished rebuilding this bike and setting it up for enduro. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a header pipe for it yet. So, I installed the stock header that came with the bike which was severely bent from the precious owner. I got it to fit back on the bike however I'm having trouble getting it to seal completely. Not sure what the best option is, maybe high temp rtv or continuing to try and bend the pipe back to where it should be. Any ideas would be great! Hope everyone is having a great holiday if you are from the US.

Looking for an expansion chamber exhaust to increase scavenging and power. I already have like a 26 T rear gear and high compression head, running max at 44mph on flat ground but it still has alot of revs left at that speed. I fully rebuilt it with high temp bearings and LOTS of high temp grease, runs like a fucking dime. Any reccomendations would be awesome because all I find are the bikeberry ones for $100 or the amazon pieces of junk for $20. Preferably an exhaust that runs out the back. Price isn't an issue, it just needs to be quality!

To increase the max speed what rpm should i look for the exp chamb? i guess it's the max rpm which should be 5k but does it really make 5k cuz i am sure some engine specs are not correct like the hp.

Hey all! I've finished the beta release of Chambers Militant, the expansion for my Dark Heresy Genesys hack which adds rules for playing as Deathwatch Marines, Grey Knights and Adepta Sororitas.

It features detailed character creation mechanics for all of the above, along with a fully featured armoury, a new psychic discipline, and a suite of faith powers. This release is a beta and as such may have some balance issues, but should be fully featured and ready to use.

Let me know what you think! Keen for any feedback, especially as this is tricky stuff to balance effectively so it might need some tweaking.

I already posted here about how to make my 2 stroke quieter. Now I wanna make my expansion chamber shorter so I can try to make a good silencer. I know that if I change my expansion chamber that im gonna lose performance. But does anyone know how I can do this?

I picked this up for $25 and it came off of a 49cc mini bike.

1. I've read that unless it's an expansion chamber off of an actual dirt bike or you buy the expensive ones its not a real expansion chamber and all of the ones on Bikeberry and Gasbike ect. are all fake but what exactly separates the real ones and the fakes?

2. And can the fake ones be modified to make them work the same as the real ones?

3. How would I be able to tell if the one I picked up works like a real expansion chamber?

4. Since the expansion chamber came off of a 49cc engine, would it be too small for my 80cc engine? Does size matter?

Sorry if some of these questions sound dumb, I just can't find any legit answers. It's all people saying "just buy a MZ65 pipe blah blah don't waste your money on the fake ones" but no one elaborates on it.

pipe is all busted beyond repairs, I am happy with OEM, but OEM is more expensive vs aftermarket for some reason. Ive heard you need a GET-ECU if you add an after market pipe (expansion chamber) to a TPI. or it should be the same? I still want to keep my traditional rev up, but if it gives slight low end, im not bother by that but I am happy with OEM settings. also heard engines blowing because of pipes being added with no GET-ECU to correctly map it?

Im looking at the following - not for performance just looks. Currently, the tpi runs perfect with no hiccups or anything and would like to keep it the same, or better w/o going the GET-ECU route unless I have to

I have a TE250i - 2019 geared at 12/50

I’ve got a homelite (I think) 32/33 cc 2 stroke that I’m messing with. I want to throw it in something but I also want an expansion chamber or something. Are there any out there?

I'm building a Tzr125(Putting a slightly big piston) and wondering if I should go with the standard exhaust or put a bigger exhaust with a large expansion chamber.

Can you tell me the difference?

Good? Bad? I bought em but from past experience will it destry my motor? Im happy the way it is stock but who doesn’t want some more juice? Will it make it louder? It has a can on end of chamber. I want quiet as possible with smoothness and power. Any anecdotes tips welcome. 🙏🏿
