Lately I've met some feminists who say that using the words 'catcall' and 'eve teasing' is problematic, and we should only use the word 'harassment'. Can anyone elaborate on why this is so?
Okay I was going through this street and there were bunch of school going girls, and out of a sudden they started sneering at me. One of them started talking creepy with her other friend. "मेरेको मिल जाए ना बस मजा आ जाए." "तेरेवाले चोमू से ज्यादा तो ये अच्छा है." (If I'll have him.. he's better than your duffer bf") and they continued. I was so shocked after hearing their talks, and didn't have a courage to look towards them. Those girls were high-schoolers but were pretty arrogant and talked like adult girls. Have you ever been in a situation like this? What one must do or how do you dealt with the situation?
Folks, Need suggestions on how to deal with false case on filed against us
- Complaining about Eve teasing done by one of our person, with signed by 4 ladies. Don't know if those are real ladies or just random fake signs
- Demolishing plants that were never existed, on property land by someone. This person doesn't own land there , no RTC records as such. Simply claim its his/her land as well. Its govt land illegally occupied by the person.
I am a student from Noida, recently what I have gathered is the ever increasing sexual harrassment cases in my previous school, girls are being eve teased, slut shamed, their pictures have been edited on p*rnstars and sometimes even touched without their concent. And worst part is that the school is not ready to take any action against the students. A close friend of mine have been getting this stuff for the last 5 years, she tried complaining to the vice principal, student council, and even the principal. Yet no outcome, her seniors are asking her to have sex with them directly and indirectly. The school has been neglecting this for the last, idk 7 years.

Hello, so this is a very sensitive topic but I wanted to get a sense of things.
A female friend of mine has been approached by random men multiple times during her early morning jogs in / around Hinjewadi Phase 1 / Blue Ridge.
Initially it was one dude who kept pestering her to accompany on her runs. But then a few days later another guy (a stranger who also used the same trail, seemingly) chimed in with a similar request.
A third guy asked for directions (when inside a car) and then ended up exiting the car and ran beside her while she began to panic and hurry towards her own building.
My friend is socially awkward as it is, in the most basic and non harmful of interactions. Having experienced this multiple times is literally making her break down & sending her to tears.
Have other folks experienced such situations in /around Blue Ridge or in general, during such activities?
Also since this has happened thrice - and I have assured her that the possibility is very low - does anyone else reckon this is somehow targeted or co-ordinated?
I keep telling her that it's absolutely no fault of hers and that these men are just random, horrible folks in general - but after the third such occurrence I can't help but see a pattern of planning by the guys.
TL;DR - Female friend has been harrased during her early morning runs in the Blue Ridge area, she's losing her sanity & sense of safety; I'm wondering if it's a regular occurrence with other folks being affected as well.
If you log into Twitter and check the trends, you'll find a trend called #boyslockerroom which is a private insta group chat which circulates morphed pictures of girls of a certain college in delhi. It is only more that a few of the admins have been doxxed. There are screenshots available which actually show how they are planning to gangrape a minor girl Judy because they can!!! I am very disturbed by this, and I know that there exists a lot many such chat groups. What I want to know is that, is there really no end to it? Can reddit help? :(
Is it a cultural thing here to prey on unattractive brown males? i am experiencing eve teasing style harassment from people in Canada since 2002. I don’t have any other words to describe this kind of harassment so i call it eve teasing. But i’m male how can this be? They don’t say anything to my mother or sister but harass me every step of the way! I got punched on the chest, head, face. I was bleeding from my mouth. I’m getting stared down. makes me want to kill myself.
