A list of puns related to "Emo pop"
As a lifelong US hip hop fan I love the blending of the genres sonically, but I find a lot of the content pretty boring and off-putting at times.
That being said though Iβm a huge fan of artists like Juice Wrld (rip) and do really enjoy the genre generally. I wouldβve loved to have heard Lil Peep singing in a 2005 emo band though!
For me, I think itβs The Devil and God are Raging Inside of Me, Brand New.
I don't know how successful this will be because I'm sure I've bled kpop dry of any hard rock/emo songs, but there might be some I've missed.
I've made a playlist for all the ones I have so far. It's mostly songs on the heavier side that I'm looking for (a lot of FTIsland, Day6, and Dreamcatcher) but I do have a few lighter songs (like TXT's Loserβ Lover, Lovesong, and Enhypen's Attention, Please!).
ALSO, I'm only including more pure "rock" style songs (so while I love Pixy and Dreamnote, their songs just don't fit the style I'm looking for), and songs by K-POP ARTISTS ONLY (so groups like Purple Rain and Bursters, while totally awesome, won't be on this list).
My Friend and I do this Podcast called the Pop Punk Emo Supremo Podcast, and we decided to do our top 5 Pop Punk/Emo Christmas songs and I thought I would add all of you in on the fun. If you would like to listen to the episode, you can listen here:

y'know what the title says.

Trying to relive my Jr high/high school days.
I'm talking about those obscure bands that people had onto their Myspace pages. The days before emo got huge and there were scene kids everywhere... I need that.
Music is very nostalgic for me
Edit:. Every single suggestion has been amazing! Exactly the stuff i was looking for
(I don't know how to mark this as closed)
Song is All Time Low - Oh, Calamity
I... had a dream about it and remembered another verse so I just looked it up... In my dream he said "It's such a shame we play strangers" and that one worked on YouTube's algorithm IRL
The song is about a break up and is sung by what I believe to be an emo group, and seems to be rock-pop or at least I am reminded of both by memory.
In the music the main singer, a man, describes how he and his love broke up, how there is so much distance between them. He thinks of himself negatively while remarking about her positively. I believe he harps upon how they cannot get back together due to his immaturity, or at least the way he is describing things is in a purposefully princess & monster style. I believe there is a music video that has a sort of cut-out style to it never featuring the two as people but representing parts of the song such as great distance as a big sea which is not a real one but a cut-out cardboard version
"Oh ____, Come back to me" is repeated several times throughout the song as part of the lyrics. I believe the female's name started with a C. Caroline, carolee, cassidy, I just do not remember.
I believe this band features rust and the color red in their album art but I am unsure.
This was a very popular song made some time in the 2000s - 2010s and has millions of views. I would say it was a song teenagers would listen to and if they did, they probably also listened to bands such as Thousand Foot Krutch, Pop Evil and Linkin Park, which would have had similar styles to this singer.
I would be forever grateful
Looking for some good music to grieve to, my grandma passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly yesterday, and Iβm looking for some cathartic pop-punk. So far Iβve got a playlist with the songs:
Face Towards The Sun by The Maine
Sing For Me by Yellowcard
View From Heaven by Yellowcard
Sonny by New Found Glory
Edit to add: thank you everyone for all of the replies and well wishes, I appreciate the hell out of all of you
Hi All,
I posted here a few weeks back and have already connected with someone from here and am working on her tracks. Looking to find some more people to work with!
I am 33 years old and have been recording/producing since I was 12. I started on tape with a little 4 track, moved to FruityLoops, then Logic, then Ableton and now also use ProTools. I recently attended a music school here in Los Angeles for the past 4 years focusing on production and mixing to add some formal education to my many years of being self taught.
My favorite genre's are Pop Punk, Emo, Indie, Alternative and Hip Hop, I also likely would enjoy anything adjacent to these genres.
I am only working on that one project from the artist I connected with here last week so I am available for more work if you're interested!
I am not looking to charge anyone for these first 6 months to a year post graduation as I build up my portfolio.
Here is an example of some mixing work i've done. It is a PopPunk/Emo EP I did with 2 other classmates. I did the bulk of the writing/performances as well so I can also help with song writing/tracking! I also have a experience with Hip Hop and chiller more indie rock styles as well.
DM or comment!
Please help me Iβm going crazy trying to find this song. I keep on thinking of blue Valentine but thatβs not it.
What would tell them, and what do you think theyβd be most surprised about?
As the title says, I recently finished a music production program and am looking to help bands mix their demos/home recorded EPs. In addition to my recent education, I've been producing/recording/playing in bands for the past 20 years, although my first formal education on mixing came this past year.
Here is a link to my final project at schoolwhere I did a lot of the mixing, though I did have to work on this with partners, so I am trying to find projects to build up my solo portfolio.
Would prefer the genres I listed in my title, but if it's something close enough to one of those I'd also be interested. I like a lot of different music.
Shipping from Houston, TX. $4 flat rate for shipping.
Little bit of everything for everyone.
Discogs is My Collection - Discogs if you wanna take a look for anything not listed.
The lyrics I can remember go something like this:
There's a fire in your heart/eyes (not sure which)
And you should just let it burn (this line I'm way less sure of)
The singer is male I think, and it was kind of shouty singing. I think the music was heavy on drums and guitar.
I wanted to refrain from asking this because I know these sort of questions get old but I sing in a band and Iβve got to figure this out. The song Iβm trying to sing is MakeDamnSure by taking back sunday
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Oww8o0znUuQ
and in the song heβs singing ridiculously high and it doesnβt quite sound like falsetto, mixed, or chest voice. Iβm specifically referring to the pre-chorus and chorus sections. What gives? Iβm not sure how to achieve that sort of sound. If I sing in mixed or falsetto it just sounds wrong but I certainly canβt hit that by belting chest voice (mine is roughly f#2-G4). It doesnβt sound like heβs doing any of those things to my ear so what exactly is it and how can I achieve that?
My man got me a couple 7" vinyl (Thrice/Thursday split, Blink 182 Lemmings) and turns out I love them. I've gotten a few more (The Get Up Kids/Rocket From The Crypt split, Say Anything/Bayside split, New Found Glory- Tip of the Iceburg) but I'd like to expand my collection further. I'm in search of almost anything that falls under the emo umbrella. Got money to spend! Located in AZ.
I don't even know what all's out there. I'm not getting many good results for "emo 7in vinyl" in google or eBay and I don't know how to search genre specific 7" on discogs... I just know I want them.
