Eastern Range Puns

Does anyone know of any pistol ranges on the shore? I think the closest one would be On-Target in Severn. I know there’s a club on the shore, but I imagine the wait lost is long.

I haven't been able to find any. Also are there any websites with large archives of footage from this war? I feel like there is a bunch I can't find.

The difference can be seen in everything from air to air, to anti ship to even surface to air like Patriot vs S-400/S-500. The Eastern Block also seem to have more variety of missiles.

Why is this the case? Is this because of doctrine difference? Is it because the US and West as a whole rely much more on air superiority and support and thus don't need such big bulky missiles? This while USSR/Russia and China with its huge land area requires more ground force capability?

Eastern Sierra Transit Authority is conducting a survey for their Short Range Transit Plan. By making our needs known, this is how we get hiker-oriented services included in their planning process. I mentioned weekend 395 service, a shuttle to Whitney Portal & Horseshoe Meadows and an afternoon connection from the southbound Reno bus Lee Vining to Tuolumne Meadows as priorities for the hiking community - but you may think there's other needs that aren't presently being met.

Whatever you would like to see, this is the process that we need to go through in order to get action on the services we need. I've corresponded with the executive director of ESTA over the past two years, he wants to provide more service for the hiking season, but the Short Range Transit Plan is the stepping stone for getting funding to subsidize the service. Got to work the process here, the survey is part of the method of developing new routes.

ESTA Survey

Sorry if this isn’t the right place for this - but I’m hoping the community can help me out.

I’ve lived in Bishop, CA for a fair number of years and am considering a move to the Boulder, CO area (slightly North of it) for more job opportunities/schools. However, I have a few questions that I’d love this group’s perspective on:

1. I’m beyond spoiled by living near the happies/sads/buttermilks. How does the ease of bouldering access/culture compare between Bishop and the Front Range?

2. What is the lady climber scene like? While I love getting out with friends, I appreciate someone who has a personality that doesn’t revolve around “being a climber.” Will it be feasible to find friends who want to also do things like go out to eat or do something mellow?

3. (Less climbing related) LADWP being such major landowners here means there’s a lot of space, and I can drive 10 minutes and have open space for me and the pup to romp. Is that possible in the areas outside of Boulder? I hear conflicting things.

I've recently found a job in Philly and moved up here about a month ago. I currently live in Narberth in MontCo (yeah yeah...it's a suburb I know)

I've been looking for ranges to shoot at near me, as well as any public land or anywhere I can go to plink away at. I was wondering if anyone here could give me some advice on where to shoot at. Even though I'm ass at shooting I was also wondering if there were any ranges near Montco that did USPSA related practice and competition. I'd love to get involved and go shooting more now that I have more time.
