Who would have thought these two would act in a show together. Bc I sure didn't. Anyways the show seems to be wuxia and zhao lusi and deng lun will be the main leads. It still looks like they haven't confirmed all the cast yet. As of rn it just show them two. But I have to say I am surprised at how well zhao lusi is doing she is on a roll, acting with all these big stars and their much older than her as well. Good for her. I honestly love these two actors and I'm so excited to see them is this show. Almost forgot the show is called Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Wang Quan๐
Luol Deng who last played for the Lakers on October 19, 2017 is the sixth highest paid player on the Los Angeles Lakers. He is paid more than Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony, etc
Thank you all, I will watch and listen to a lot of this at work and on break, you have all helped me, thank you comrades
When he said that "nothing will fundamentally changed", I was quite relieved cause I thought Comrade Trump's protracted people's war was extremely effective and well done. But now, with all these market reforms and the failure of the BBB initiative, I'm wondering, is Bi-Deng trying to maximize the productive forces, or is he pulling a Gorbachev?

Last night I found this article called Deng Xiaoping Sees Khrushchevs on Wilson Center.
I'm attempting to find the transcripts for the 1964 meeting between Deng Xiaoping and Lรช Bรฌnh (the secretary of Vietnam's Labor Youth Union) which is mentioned in the article.
The hyperlinks in the article lead to websites that no longer exist unfortunately. I figured I'd ask here to see if anybody has more information. Thanks!
as the title says. could the ussr still be around today if they reformed in a similar way to how deng xiaoping did with china?
Hi everyone,
In this first post of the year, I would like to introduce a book I read about a decade ago.
Deng Kang-yan's A New Reading of Old Textbooks (ใ่่ฏพๆฌ๏ผๆฐ้ ่ฏปใ, 2011) itself is a introduction of a set of primary school textbooks, Textbook of Republic, New Mandarin (ใๅ ฑๅๅๆ็งๆธ ยท ๆฐๅๆใ), published only a few months after the 1911 Revolution (aka Xinhai Revolution). IIRC, it was the second edition of Chinese textbooks since the abolishment of the imperial examination in 1905. Deng's book is a facsimile of both of its texts and illustrations, with his comments on the selected lessons.
I copied the preface for your reference:

I do not attempt to translate it (our translators/linguists shall help me with it;), but to summarize, those textbooks, compiled in the years of turmoil, told tales about kindness, etiquette, common senses etc. in such a clean, concise style, without preaching or propaganda, were wholesome for educating young Chinese of a new era.
Read it as a young man in his early 20s, I was shocked by the freshingly lucid writing style that I had rarely encountered (off the top of my head, another example is the proses by Liang Shih-chiu.). I do not intend to be sparing in my praise, to date those are still the best Chinese textbooks I have read. They are actually a mixture of classical Chinese and Mandarin so you might need a bit basis to understand it well.
As I cannot possibly put my feelings into words. Here are a few from Deng's book. downloaded the only online source I have found so far where you can partially read. But luckily all these 'long lost' textbooks were restored and reprinted shortly after Deng's publication.
... keep reading on reddit โกI could only find this scanned version of this book, but I wanted a physical version so I cleaned up the scan a bit and made a printable version here:

It's not perfect, but good enough. I got it printed through Lulu.
I wanted to do some research about deng xiaoping and the history of the ccp and prc in general but literally everything I could find was doomsday predictions about china from people who arent even researchers. Could you guys give me some credible sources to learn from e.g. isbns from books that you liked?
ะะพัะพะณะธะต ัะพะฒะฐัะธัะธ ะธ ะดััะทัั, I have a silly question for you.
Apologies if it isn't structured correctly, grammar-wise. It's my second language, and I'm a little unsure about the whole "were not to" part. Hope you undestand what I'm asking, though.
