How I feel about my work: This is a challenge
The new book Infinite Bloodcore is now available, and it has already been 6 years since Reverend Insanityreleased.
Time is like a knife that carves the faces and hearts of every person.
6 years ago, when I started writing Reverend Insanity, I was unmarried. 6 years later, I have a family and a son in kindergarten.
My time writing Reverend Insanity gave me ample writing experience as well as many important enlightenment.
During those 6 years, I read and found many outstanding books. I am thankful to my fellow writers, during those 6 years, online literary masterpieces could be found everywhere, and they were my spiritual food.
Besides online writing, I also read the classics. I sleeplessly read The Moon and the Sixpence, wept tragically over The Little Prince, and repeatedly read and sighed over The Red and the Black. I also read professional composition textbooks like What is Writing, Narratology, A Guide on How to Create a Movie, amongst others.
I created a system to privately assess myself to these quality stories. I call it the Three Standards, it covers both webnovels and traditional literature.
I also began to have a new understanding of how beautiful novels were.
6 years ago, before I started writing Reverend Insanity, I followed the three golden rules. They were fast updates, conflict, belief, etc. After 6 years, I feel that a writer should have more room to write comfortably.
Reverend Insanity being banned was an important trial for me. Because when I wrote my book, regardless of how it performed, I was never a eunuch. I do my best to finish every book because I love writing itself and I treat every book as my own child. I never want to see any of my children die prematurely.
Of all my books, I felt differently about Reverend Insanity because it was my old dream.
It is still banned and forced to be a eunuch.
This made me feel severe pain. When it happened, I felt isolated from the world, I felt I was alone in a boundless darkness, and I felt I was constantly falling down a boundless cliff.
During that time, I experienced the greatest tribulation of my writing career.
This experience forced me to question my own heart. It made me see things from a new angle, it made me examine the relationship between me and my readers, the relationship between me and my writing platform, and the relationship between me and my countryโs society.

Im reading the YY - QYZ history and facepalmed plus experienced 2nd hand embarrassment so many times throughout. How do people still like him? I would like to understand ๐
You know the story... Guy is into girl, but she's not that into him. He starts getting madly obsessive over her and doesn't take any of the signs that this just isn't going to work out. I mean she's a demon sword for goodness sake! But then the moment must ultimately come where she says to him, flat out, that most painful of lines - "I only like you as a friend."
How does mad monk guy react? Blind rage? Kill himself on the spot? Or the more typical for his personality type... "Whore," he'll call her. "You fucking bitch. I bet you let any guy wield you. I did so much for you! I was just trying to be a nice guy, but you fucking had to ruin it didn't you, over some fucking chad other puppet who'll only go and fucking abandon you anyway. Well fuck you, swordslut, you deserve all the pain in the world!" And then he'll go post on r/incel and r/pussypassdenied and wherever else all the red pillers have gone and cry himself to sleep.
I have cleared all chapters but can only get to one star in chapter 17. I have three out of the four recommended clothes to clear it (the blue bamboo set) but all of them together don't seem to be enough to actually get to three stars, either. Anyone knows how many points you actually need to clear that chapter?

Don't get me wrong, when it comes to ROTK, I still prefer my beardy boy Guan Yu. However, I think there's a figure that checks on a lot of requirements to be a 'Heroic Spirit', and yet less talked about even amongst Chinese myth, originating from the 3 Kingdoms era.
I am talking about Zhen Luo/Lady Zhen, though Dynasty Warriors players probably know her better as Zhenji.
She began as the wife of one of Yuan Shao's children Yuan Xi, but then the Battle of Guandu happened and her husband went off to war... and promptly trounced by the Wei forces. During the invasion, Cao Cao's son, Cao Pi, noticed her hiding along with her aunt and was smitten with her beauty. So he decided "I'll spare you, but I want you to be my waifu." She had no other choice and had to marry him.
In general, early on their marriage, Cao Pi was fair to her. However, she's also taking notice to his less asshole brother (reminder that in history, Cao Pi was an ass), Cao Zhi, who, aside of being less concerned to political issues and more interested in poetry, he's more kind to Zhenji, up and up to make a poem to compare her with a star crossed lover about the daughter of God Fu Xi and another deity (involving either Hou Yi or He Bo), culminating to her worship on Luo River. For some reason, that poem got really popular, and somehow they associate Lady Zhen with this particular Goddess of Luo River.
Of course, being her legal husband, Cao Pi REALLY didn't like this. So that became one of his reasons why he plots to have him dead, although he managed to escape death when he made a poem to actually move Cao Pi to tears.
Though, the marriage didn't last harmoniously. Cao Pi then fancied a new girl to be her next Empress, despite Zhen already giving him a son (Cao Rui). This new Empress, Lady Guo, saw Zhen as an obstacle, and so spread malicious rumors about her (like revealing her two-timing with Cao Zhi, or make rumors that her son was from Yuan Xi), enough that Cao Pi ate that up and forced Zhen to commit suicide. Cao Rui, however, made him eventually he's been an ass to her, so he gave her posthumous honors, made Cao Rui the emperor who kept the Wei at least a little more stable (his passing was when Wei entered a period of no return that Sima Yi saw it fit to strike back and then establish the Jin Dynasty). And as a bonus, Cao Rui tracked down Lady Guo, and made her pay for Zhen's unfair's death.

Hi everyone. I just finished TYK and is now watching the drama. I just wanna clarify, in the novel ZZS and WKX didn't meet when they were kids right? Nor do they share the same master?
I just finished the novel a few days ago, and I was trying to correlate both the drama and novel and by the time I found out that they're different (kinda) it's too late, I've already mixed them up lol. For a VIP5 who doesn't have the confidant Zhu Zhishan, who is a better partner to invest in: Zhen Huan or Wei Yang? I guess Wei Yang is more powerful (?) but I don't really plan on ever getting to VIP6 so I won't ever have have her confidant to boost her, whereas my Wen Zhengming already has a high intimacy level to boost Zhen Huan. Is Wei Yang still worth beefing up to become one of my top partners (to replace Zhen Huan i guess)?? Note that I already have all the princes and 3 of the dukes, and a female general is not far in the horizon either so most of them would naturally be in my top8/12 but I'm really conflicted about this because Wei Yang is really strong for most VIP players.
