tl;dr In 2017, Alec Baldwin started the “Amagansett Horse Rescue” charity after taking over the lease for horse stables next door to his Long Island house. Between 2017-2019, the Hilaria and Alec Baldwin Foundation donated $209,470 to Amagansett Horse Rescue, even though AHR was not legally registered as a charity till 2019. There is no evidence that AHR conducted $209k-worth of “direct charitable activities” in that time, and it’s unclear where all that money has ended up. There is, however, plenty of evidence that the Baldwins regularly use the “horse charity” as their own private family stable with no ostensible charitable purpose. The Baldwins have thus far written off $117k of stable-related expenses under the rescue's tax-exempt status. Private family foundations are subject to “self-dealing” regulations, intended to prevent them from being used as tax shields ultimately benefiting that same family (Trump Foundation, anyone?). If any of this sounds sketchy to you, you can contact the tax-sleuth experts at the NY AG Charities Bureau at charities.complaints@ag.ny.gov to ask them to take a closer look.
QUICK BACKGROUND
In 2017, a local Amagansett equstrian, Jan Warner, was ousted from a horse farm that she had been leasing and using as an informal horse rescue and boarding stable. This farm is literally next door to Alec and Hilaria Baldwins’ Amagansett (Hamptons, Long Island) home. The landlord suddenly demanded Jan pay a years’ rent up front, and when she couldn’t, she lost the lease. The Baldwins promptly took over the lease and established the stables as their own charity, “Amagansett Horse Rescue,” after having repeatedly complained about Jan’s alleged poor upkeep of the property.

So, here goes:
HUGE DISCLAIMER: I am not an expert on human trafficking, just someone with a base knowledge & too much time on their hands. If there is something in here I should correct please, PLEASE tell me. I am also on mobile so forgive any formatting errors.
TW for general discussions of human trafficking and the situations around it (drug abuse, SA, etc). I will keep everything very clinical/vague but please be warned.
So…after Brittany’s “highly successful” retreat and her and Jordan’s “prophetic visions” to send trafficked women to She Lives Fraud retreats for…healing? I decided to look into this sketch ass charity.
I’ve seen a huge uptick in fundies decide human trafficking is their pet cause du jour. Why? Well, QAnon mostly. TLDR for the blissfully uninformed: QAnon is a scam/conspiracy theory run by Ron Watkins that claims that Donald Trump will save the world from a Satanic pedophile/human trafficking ring. This conspiracy theory now makes up a large chunk of the American, and for our purposes Christian right.
With QAnon comes a huge amount of false “statistics” and “charities” around human trafficking, ie Operation Underground Railroad. A lot of these scams “pinkwash” their message to appeal to white evangelical women on Instagram. So much so that actual human trafficking charities have taken a HUGE hit. It’s a giant problem, look up the history of #SaveTheChildren if you’re interested.
Here’s what I can tell:
Freedom Shield Foundation is an incredibly opaque organization. I can barely find anything on leaders, actual reports, etc. They purport to have “rescued” over 1,000 people from trafficking including many from the Philippines. Here’s why that’s bad and (probably) bogus: THEY DON’T HAVE THE JURISDICTION. Many of the countries with the highest HT rates are post colonial countries that aren’t exceedingly thrilled to have a bunch of Americans bust down the door to “freedom.” Also, while HT spans worldwide the best results are done at a local level. Think about it-it’s legally and logistically much easier.
They are extremely tied to Mercy Culture and The Justice Reform, which is the “charity” that hosted the run that JDong ran “security detail.” In these circles they 100% have some sort of QAnon tie in.
The executive director of FSF is a lady named Carrie Grace, who from her Linkedin has a bachelor’s in ???? and primarily works as a motivational speaker. Aka is totally unqualified to run a HUMAN TRAFFICKING CHARITY.
Some other insane things I’

We've had some severe rain here in Kentucky recently and I've noticed water pools next to the foundation by my backdoor. How concerned should I be with this? I'm having panic attacks at work thinking I'm going to come home to a flooded kitchen. Slab foundation, no basement. Am I just being dramatic?
