A list of puns related to "Civilizing mission"
Tech/civic advantages become very apparent as a game progresses, but unless you want an ez domination victory these differences rarely effect the way you play. In addition to this, it becomes very difficult to catch up in science/culture to someone steamrolling. What if there was a way to solve both of these issues?
Unlocked at Colonialism, the Civilizing Mission would be a diplomatic option similar to a promise - where you spend a lump sum of favor, and don't need to make deals with the AI to do so. A CM lasts an indefinite amount of turns, during which its target gets a free tech or civic once every 5 turns that its sender has already researched (without generating domestic tourists), and ends when the target catches up to the sender. However, every one of these free techs/civics also functions as a huge one-time boost of tourism, as well as +2 favor per turn until completion. A CM can be canceled either by the sender or by a war declaration.
Westernization acts as a weaker, but similar option that the target can initiate, and is unlocked at Humanism. The target of Westernization doesn't receive any additional favor.
Title.
Imo civilizing missions policy is broken or atleast OP at epic game speed. You get like 12k gold per city capture and with that money you can basically buy 10 new units per city capture. In my last game i had 200k gold even though i was buying buildings/units every turn.
What are your thoughts?
I'm reading about Imperial Europe and I can't seem to find why the civilizing mission came about. Why did the civilizing mission become such an important aspect of colonization? Why did going to war for conquest or money fall out of favor?
So I am currently replaying the game and have realized that if you choose to side with the empire you still have to kill the emperor in the questline with the dark brotherhood. I feel that's kinda weird considering you joined their faction and fought for the emperor just to kill him for coins after. there should have been an option to refuse the job if you wanna stay true to an empire-based background to your character. I might be in the wrong but I would like to hear some of your opinions.
I'm honestly not sure why I would want to go ahead with that massive civil war at the end of the Hellenistic Empire mission tree as it appears to be broken and draws in waaaay more than 1/3 of my provinces (despite all of my governors having more than 60 loyalty). Is this working as intended? What do I get out of fighting through this slog? Luckily I made a backup before clicking that button, but boy howdy was it crazy to watch most of my empire revolt.
I was editing some for Bucky on Tiktok but then I noticed that he was going to do something while being Brainwashed by Zemo, what was his goal at that time?
The objectives are to go through 3 points and then some I-16 spawns, you kill them all and then more I-16 spawns with bombers.
I focus on the bombers but i can only kill one or two then i die, then i change to one of my squads but these are following the I-16's so i change directions to the bombers but they're already 1km away and it takes way too much to kill one and then they're already on top of the AAA and i lose.
So I tried doing it with another player and we managed to finish it two times and it says "All objectives completed" but then in the summary it says defeat or mission is still in progress and we don't get any rewards.
Is there a point in completing these missions? I'm just doing it because they're there. I've looked around the forums and people have been complaining about that these missions are impossible to complete since 2015, i looks like the devs forgot about these missions.
I mean they say they will block the signal from the βpoliceβ but oh boi now I sit here with renown one and canβt do shit for 2 hours in this game, what great Design really...and well I wonβt even be able to complete the mission because itβs marked as my rank but ships are gone as soon as I look in their general direction what a great joke to kill 7 of them...
And sorry for my initial saltiness but I love this game and not being able to really play it for 2 active hours really grinds my gears
I couldn't imagine this show taking place during or even after the Trump presidency.
It felt like the cast on the show was fighting a war against an evil force that they tried their best to battle with truth, logic and good journalism.
However these last 4 years have really shown this team and office would've been so ineffective and so depressed having to combat the words "fake news" and "alternative facts."
Though after a recent watch through, I don't know if this show would've done well at any other period than the period it ran, especially with Charlie dead.
Compare the entire staff wanting to resign over Genoa to anything done over the last 4 years, excluding COVID of course.
Anyways, this was a great show and I liked seeing the cast together even though I didn't agree with some of their methods or attitudes.
I Accepted the mission for develop Cisapline Gaul. Due to events a civil war starts that I cannot avoid because it is started by an event; I even friended, bribed, gave hands, to the main leader and even though counting the modifiers he should be in the mid 30s loyalty it still shows '0'.
Fine unavoid game event civil war counts down then. But when it starts it CANCELED the Cisapline Gaul development mission and now I can't reselect it?
Doesn't make any sense and complete BS!!! Literally have to go back through saves until I find one where I can avoid the civil war somehow or else I lose an entire set of missions? Rage inducing. And not the first silly crap bug I've seen in this game that makes me want to quit.
(Before part of a province I owned, Vallis Arni, somehow flipped into a civil war faction of a different faction; as in a civil war of a faction on my border somehow turned most of my province into their civil war enemy and actually kept all of their original territory... )
Hi there !
New to the game, I'm enjoying being a freighter and also a bounty hunter/mercenary.
As I'm new, I'm not really good at fighting. Still learning some tricks, right now I'm learning to use the blue zone and the power distribution correctly. Already pitching up while turning (usually up) and making the sharpest turns I think I can do with my viper ?
I did some massacre mission, but when I do them during civil war, even if they're showed at my level (Novice), if I go to a conflict zone, they're all letal elite and shit.
If I attack one (there's laser everywhere, I WANT TO HAVE FUN AND SHOOT TO :D), sometimes I can duel them for a long time, but at some point I'll end up with 3 fighters frying me up.
So, are these missions really supposed to be playable for a Novice (which I think it is, so I keep trying and trying until I get the kills), or should I do something else ?
Thank you, have fun, happy new year ! \o/
