TIL about Radium Girls who mixed radium paint for watches and used camel hair brushes to apply the glowing paint onto the dials. The brushes would lose shape after a few strokes so the U.S. Radium supervisors encouraged their workers to point the brushes with their lips (lip, dip, paint). 1917-1926

After years of people telling me to just “brush your hair” including hairdressers I’ve finally learnt to embrace my natural waves

Wool Slouch Coat on sale - any reviews/fit pics? Seems like everyone prefers the camel hair version better. Unfortunately I’m not near any store locations
Was told my "hair looks like shit and need to brush it" by a family member. Does this look okay? Or do I give up on wavy hair?

from when I let my bf brush out my hair to show him what happens when its brushed dry 🥴
Frizzy (is it frizz?) hair no matter how i wash or brush or comb, or how often. As soon as it's dry it's back to frizzy again.
Do anyone got the same problem as me? Hair goes all around Malin brush.
Everyday I bush my hair and I get this. I also have to use a lint roller on my clothes and floor because they are covered. My hair is shoulder length. I'm going to go bald 😭😭😭 I'm 5 months post op. I take vitamins with Biotin. I don't brush my hair while it's wet. I drink lots of water.
How can I discourage my sun conure from preening me? Its fine when he preens my hair, but usually he picks at my skin, face, finger nails or ears. He often hurts me or tears off my scabs or acne. He isn’t biting. I often brush him off or grab his beak and say “no”, but he is persistent. Plz help :(
Weren’t they heading to school, she was in a rush to get out the door and forgot to brush her hair? Now it’s an impromptu field trip. The chaos these kids live in is heartbreaking.
Huge pile of laundry COVERED in cat hair that needs to go in the washing machine. Any tips or am I doomed to a roller brush?
First time using a Denman brush! I always get so impatient waiting for my hair to dry but I took my time and love the results!

I used the revlon brush and my hair is straighter than usual. It looks way too long for my height and I’ve been contemplating whether to chop or not. Should I? Does it look dead/dry? I’ve bleached it 5x.
Her steadfast refusal to do ANYTHING for her children is shocking. Won't support her INFANT'S head, won't brush her daughter's hair, won't put a hat on her kids' soaking wet heads, won't zip up their jackets, won't attend to her infant in a stroller, won't even WIPE HER BABY'S NOSE! So scary.

How to brush/detangle hair after a wash without ruining waves?
Whenever I try and brush/detangle my hair after a wash it always brushes out the waves and they don't come back properly. I try and leave my hair as much as possible when I dry it for this reason (and air dry as much as possible) but my hair gets knotted easily and often looks like a haystack if it isn't seen to.
So, does anyone have any tips on keeping the waves whilst getting rid of the tangle?
I thought about brushing in the shower but I'm not sure that alone will be enough to keep it knot free.
What is your AB’s love language? Clarence expresses his love by eating my hair and trying to brush my teeth with his tongue 🤮
Two cowboys in wooly chaps. Wooly chaps afforded protection from brush, trees, thorns, weather, branding irons, and other hazards inherent to the cowboy lifestyle. The long hair on wooly chaps offered extra protection and insulation against cold and wet conditions on northern ranges.
Is it preferable to use a brush or comb when detangling hair?
I know a lot of naturals suggest not using either of them, but if you had to pick one, would you say a detangling comb or a detangling brush? My nails snag a lot in my hair and I'm trying to grow them out, lol.
Edit: Y’all and this $17 brush. Well, my natural hair deserves the best I can give it, so I won’t grumble too much, lol 😒 Thanks all ♥️
What is the best brush for this thick hair? We have a wire brush but he does not like his back legs and hips brushed.
Girl doesn’t even bother to brush her hair before doing stories. She’s out there killing the ✨influencer✨game 😶
So, i brush my hair pretty much every day and this is more or less the amount of hair i get out of the brush every time. Is this too much?

Why is it forbidden to dry-brush wavy/curly hair? I tried CGM for the first time yesterday and I´m pleasantly surprised, my hair are wavier and way less frizzy and dry than normal. However I only like the result after I carefully brushed them, before that I looked like a scarecrow haha
I’m growing out my hair, this sub really inspires me. How long do you think it will take me till my hair is as long and beautiful as the ones in here? (Didn’t brush it today sorry)
Is it a parent’s responsibility to brush their child’s hair?
I always had matted hair as a kid. I just never took care of it, and I had huge knots in there until earlier this year when my mom had me get it all cut off like she threatened to do for years. I’m 17. Growing up, occasionally she’d help me get the knots out every few months, but usually she’d take me to a hair salon, which was humiliating. Once the stylist called over her friend to see how disgusting my hair was. I felt horrible about myself because of it and spent most of my life thinking I was a disgusting slob who couldn’t even brush her hair.
I just saw a TikTok about how letting your kid’s hair get all matted is neglect, and I was genuinely taken aback. I still feel like it’s my fault because I let it get bad well into my teen years. And my mom didn’t really interfere either way, so she wasn’t stopping me from brushing my hair, I just never brushed my hair. Not that she every really taught me about brushing my hair, but I had a hair brush and I feel like I could have easily brushed it. But I could kind of see how her neglecting me might lead to me neglecting myself.
I still think I’m probably just kind of a slob, but was it her responsibility to make sure I was on top of brushing my hair? Was I neglected, or am I just disgusting?
HELP! I just finished scramble washing my hair cus it was dirty af. Like when I combed it. There were legit thick yellow two inch squares all over my comb. Now I need to put shampoo in my hair and brush. But I ran out of shampoo. Can I use bar soap? Or do I wait till tommorow to buy some.
I have pretty long hair and i wash it twice a week and use hair oil and bed head after but it always comes out frizzy and doesn't look defined. How do I get nice defined curles, my hair use to be curly but since it has grown it has lost that, it just looks messy even when i brush it.

Rewatch number 1 million. “Your hair brush? Your eyeliner? Your TRAINING BRA?!?!” This show was/is a gold mine.
Can someone explain why it’s okay to detangle/brush hair while it’s wet?
Growing up, I was always told to never brush wet hair since it’s prone to breakage and damage. But I recently started to detangle and style my waves with the Denman brush, and I’ve been liking the results. So why is it alright to do so for wavy and curly hair? Is it only okay if you’re using product like a curl cream or leave-in? I guess I’m interested in a “scientific” explanation?
What happens if I brush my hair dry
My frist two acryl paintings. Any tips for me? I struggle a lot with blending, a lot of hairs fell off my brush :(
Anyone know how to clean a brush properly from all this debree build up? I take out excess hair almost Everytime I use it
my hair over the past couple months.. If I leave it alone, it curls perfectly. But if I brush it in the slightest, it frizzes like crazy, as u can see in the second and last picture. Any ideas on what to do to help heal it? I know I could probably do with a better shampoo and conditioner..

My mom spontaneously taught me how to blow-dry and brush my hair, and I'm proud of how it looks for the first time!

It has reached the point where I no longer brush my hair for work calls where the camera is on and I’m also not afraid to be in my dressing gown. I am a slob.
