A list of puns related to "Andy Fletcher (musician)"
Listed off at the end of the latest Redban podcast... should be almost every guest until about Christmas it looks like.
I happened to be in Seattle last weekend for the Dodgers series with the Mariners. I was lucky enough to be sitting next to the auxiliary tunnel for Sunday's game, so after Saturday nights debacle I made a point of trying to have a word with Andy Fletcher. Fletcher was the umpire who made the call Saturday from 1B (no other umpire made the call).
Specifically I was curious about a note to MLB Rule 8.05, the balk rule, that states that an umpire can consider a pitcher's intent when making such a call. It reads: https://imgur.com/a/EOQHW5A
Essentially, the idea that a balk is a balk and must be called is erroneous. An umpire has quite a bit of leeway to not call a balk, specifically if he thinks that the pitcher was not purposefully trying to deceive a runner. Clearly - actually about as clear of a case that could be presented - Floro was not trying to deceive anyone, but was reacting to JT checking Maybin at third and dropped his hands just slightly before stepping off the rubber. Who is going to be stealing a base in that situation, and how or why would Floro be trying to deceive them? It is ludicrous.
Jon Weisman presented his thoughts on the matter (that mirror my thoughts perfectly, and quite honestly probably every baseball fan) in an article two weeks ago: https://tinyurl.com/y9hla7te
Being in attendance for the game I can say this: The crowd was electric. The Dodger fans quite possibly outnumbered the hometown fans, as they did all weekend, specifically this night because Pantone 294 was in attendance. Because of this, Mariner fans were equally enthusiastic. It was awesome. The Dodgers rally in the 8th and 9th had everyone super-hyped, and it was post-season-esque in the stadium. When the balk call was made, everyone went from being on the edge of their seat to... confused. Then, well... let down. They had waited three hours and thirty six minutes of great baseball for what was essentially a technicality. This is for sure: Dodger fan, Mariner fan, casual fan, any fan.... Everyone in attendance at that game felt a little ripped off. And why? Because Andy Fletcher felt the need to show everyone that he caught Dylan Floro messing up and that he knows what a balk is. T

Any genre of music
My personal pick is Rage against the machine 4 studio albums all packed with jams
He finds his composer.
He has to play by ear
The title pretty much sums it all. I would like you to share an underrated rock musicians in the previous century or early 2000s, before 2010.
If I had to ask my own question, it would be Mark Kozelek of Red House Painters and Sun Kil Moon fame, it angers me that such an incredible singer-songwriter can be that awful of a person.
The cast, made up of high-profile action stars, were choosing their roles.
Sylvester Stallone went "I want to be Mozart!". Bruce Willis said "Then I'll be Beethoven!" and Jean -Claude Van Damme, "I'll go with Tchaikovsky".
After a moment of silence, Arnold Schwarzenegger stood up, looked at everyone in the room, and said "I'll be Bach".
He became a lightning conductor.
I think the only sure bet is the Beatles because of how influential they were, with Elvis and Michael Jackson being two good contenders. Maybe John Williams. Maybe Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix, and Nirvana.
EDIT: I see a lot of posts about artists that started their careers in the 2000s and 2010s. I feel compelled to point out that the 20th century ended December 31st, 2000.
EDIT 2: It looks like Kanye West is being mentioned the most. To the naysayers I suggest listening to this gem and reconsider your argument.
EDIT 3: After reading through as many of the comments as I can, it seems to me that the most correct answers are Frank Zappa and Igor Stravinsky. No bias here, I hadn't heard of either of them before this thread.
