A list of puns related to "American Crossword Puzzle Tournament"
I've just started getting into crosswords coming from a hobby with a lot of overlap, doing okay so far (finally crushing some midweek puzzles, just completed my first Thursday and Friday this week). I'm considering going to the ACPT because I think it would be fun and is nearby (I love events like these), but expect to get smoked. Question is, how good are the people in, say, E? Are they completing Saturdays regularly? I'd hope to be above at least 10% of the field and not dead last, but I guess I could go regardless
I am by no means a great speed puzzler but would love to attend and meet other crossword lovers and constructors. Has anyone been before? With covid raging, I may wait til next year. Curious if anyone was considering going.
long shot here, but anyone an American crossword puzzle enthusiast?
there's an upcoming crossword contest 21 August https://bemoresmarter.com/lollapuzzoola-info/ taking place fully online and I was wondering if anyone in Berlin wants to meet up enter the pairs division together. Just for fun, not trying to win prizes or anything -- I've participated in this in person in New York and have never finished close to the top half but it's always a good time!
I'm 27M and do the New York Times puzzle every day, finish it most of the time but am not super fast.

Took me a moment to realize how I immediately knew the answer to this...True American First Ladies Edition!
It's a good way to kill time
Iβm leaning Ne, since you have to make difficult connections between the hints and the words you select.
Using the solve times of hundreds of XW Stats users, I was able to produce a list of the hardest and easiest puzzles of the year. This blog post describes more about the method if you're curious, but here are the lists.

Happy New Year!
People have been leaving left and right on my unit and in the hospital as a whole, and somehow my management team thought it would be a good idea to have us read a PowerPoint and then prove our knowledge in the form of a fucking CROSSWORD PUZZLE. I'm so insulted I can barely form a coherent thought apart from WHAT. THE. FUCK?
We actually have to print it, do it, and turn it in like homework.
I'm this close to just quitting.
This is a 25x25 crossword puzzle, please find following words in it.

EDIT: For non NYT subscribers, I saved and uploaded a PDF version:
I make weekly crossword puzzles. My latest has a Taylor theme so I figured I'd share it here if anyone likes crossword puzzles and Taylor. You either need to print a .pdf or download Across Lite to solve in that.

She needed a color that started with A. Thanks to Stormlight Archives, the answer came to me right away (and it fit the puzzle!).
