A list of puns related to "1990s In Fashion"
The only thing I can remember is the family is driving away in the countryside or seaside, the mom/stepmom looks back into the backseat and sees the children sleeping peacefully. Suddenly there are gunshots and the car swerves, the moment looks into the backseat, sees the daughter alive and crying but at first thinks the son is somehow still asleep but then sees blood trickling down the side of the boys neck. The mother figure has a brown pixie cut, I have a vague feeling the family was trying to escape some kind of hardship but when they think theyβre safe tragedy strikes. Help! Iβve been thinking about it for years, i happened to catch that part on tv when I was a kid and have been thinking about it since.
Saw this back in 2013 on a movie channel while in vacation in Israel, not sure if it came out then or earlier
This scene is the only vivid one i can remember, i dont recall much dialogue happening during the scene or specific language if not English
I remember an edit of the original 1990 IT where clips were repeated over and over again to hilarious effect. Some of the clips were the old man yelling "STAY OUT OF DERRY!" and the greasers splashing around in the creek. I think it may have been posted by Everything Is Terrible, but I can't find it on their Youtube channel anymore. They probably posted it about 7 or 8 years ago when they first started. It is NOT the IT video they posted yesterday.
I enjoy how clothing looked back then, it was all so colorful and everything match so well, most people I see today just wear a Nike/Adidas shirt and some basketball shorts and I hate that, let's bring back the old style.
The book is a children's one about an old fashioned car (sort of like a 1950 T-series MG) where the book centered on this car that was stuck up and didn't like being touched apart from his owner of the chauffeur who drove him. He wouldn't let children touch him and would urge pigeons to leave when they came near.
The story went that the car eventually crashed and the car was left abandoned and the car eventually started to rust and lose his shine. After a while, some birds/kids found his car and began playing with him. He was initially grumpy and sultry about this, but quickly found that he enjoyed being used and played with.
That's more or less the plot of the story and I think the car was called rex, but I'm sure that's wrong as my search hasn't found anything using that name for the car.
My friends and I remember playing this game a lot when we were at primary school (around 1999?) but we don't remember the name and have struggled to find it online for a number of years. It was a DOS game (the school had some pretty ancient computers) where you were in a randomly generated maze with grey stone brick walls and had to find your way out while fighting monsters along the way (skeletons, ghosts (possibly a blue ghost as well?), etc). The main mechanic I remember is that every now and then you'd find a crack in a wall and could punch it to try and create an opening...if you succeeded, one would appear (although it could still collapse as you went through it), but if you failed, it'd cave in and the wall would look like it had yellow sand spilling out of it. Some floors could also cave in (I remember one game where I walked forwards into one room, then the floor caved in and sent me down a level, then the very next room was the exit, at which point the game started over and I got taken to a new maze.
I've seen a couple of pictures of the game Dungeon Master which look quite similar, but I don't remember the game I played including a party of heroes, or that many enemies to fight...is there a chance this was a knockoff or a sequel or even a demo disc that just had one super basic labyrinth to fight in?
EDIT: Forgot to mention; this wasn't an early 3D Wolfenstein-like game, it was more like the older maze games where you had to click arrows on the side to rotate the camera and move forwards...
I can vaguely remember watching this robot anime series back in 90's when I was like 8 or 9. I really enjoyed every episode of it, but closer to the end of the series when I watched the main protagonist mechas get defeated by the evil mecha. I was so shocked and cried that the good guys lost. I stopped watching that anime again after that so I wonder if they eventually won. There was a scene so vivid in my memory: It's one of the broken protagonist mechas falling down from space towards earth after having been defeated by the bad guy.
There are parts where I can't remember quite clearly, such as mechas in that anime being able to combine with each other or having their own consciousness and speak like Transformers.
Please help me find this anime. I had a sudden nostalgia to watch it from start to finish and hopefully endure the scene I dreaded back then ;)
NBA ratings are down and anecdotally, the NFL is strengthening its hold on American sports and expanding its lead over the NFL. This is because, Iβm my opinion, middle America is being left behind by the NBA due to player empowerment meaning players demand trades to big markets or leave in free agency. Maybe the NBAβs business model is to pump up big markets but, based on TV ratings, itβs not working lol So in your opinion is the league less popular today as it was just a few years ago? What about during the mid to late 90s with Michael Jordan?
