A list of puns related to "Yog Sothoth"
Greetings all, I was contemplating downloading the pdf of SoYS from drive-thru rpg, how much of a pain would it be to convert to 7th? Thanks!
I've tried to join the site, but no one confirms my registration which is necessary to access the forums and their materials.
Edit: I bought the "community key" and got an email that I'm at the top of the queue now. Hopefully this gets it. Do I get anything else with the community key?
My group of 3-5 investigators are meeting once a month and I've been mostly running one-shots loosely strung together.
I want to try a more structured campaign with a little more permanence between sessions, but running Masks or Orient Expression seem daunting. Same with writing my own stuff - simply no time to do that.
We enjoy kind of campy atmosphere and I personally prefer written scenarios as individual scenes than linear plot that require specific route.
Those two campaigns caught my eye, but mostly due to their length rather than actual content.
I'm looking for opinions on those two, or maybe a suggestions what to check out as campaign that has up to 10 scenarios/chapters.
The supreme beings of both settings meet each other in a horrific battle. Who will win?
Hermetic Order of the Silver Twilight
There's not really any kind of setup in this adventure, just a description of various rituals and people. There is no real suggestion of what the plot should be either, just "encourage the players to investigate the order"
Is this common amongst older CoC adventures? I am a D&D player from the early 80s and I don't recall looking at modules that literally have no intro. I know CoC is different and I love that about it but damn this is sparse!
My question is, what angle did you use when/if you ran the scenario?
Also, what exactly got buffed with Yog sothoths evolution to a "God tier" skill
9 months later I discovered that we failed, as I saw the monstrosity that came out of my wife's womb.
I'm a new keeper currently running Shadows of Yog-sothoth for my friends. How we started was playingng the one shot of the Haunting, which my friends happened to enjoy. Call of Cthulhu is alot of fun so far, so I decided to continue our story using the campaign Shadows of Yog-sothoth. After setting up and connecting the one shot to the first scenario of the campaign my friends are now approaching the end of the first scenario by fighting/escaping from John Scott and about to start the next scenario.
The question that I have stems from when I was originally researching for a good beginner campaign to run. When I first looked up this campaign in this subreddit I saw that it was suggested that I should have a scenario in-between HOTS and Look to the Future scenarios for they don't transition too well. With that in mind I was curious on what could be a good one-shot I could include to help connect the 2 scenarios together or should I continue following the campaign as in the manual and move straight to Look to the Future?
Working on moving my campaign into a longer game plan, my party recently finished up Edge of Darkness and >! have met their patron. I am thinking of using the scenario the Auction to bridge to Shadows, specifically using it as a meet and greet for the order, especially since Shadows starts with βhave them join the order if possibleβ. My question is, would you drop the second half of the auction, and just run it as βdowntime/socialβ event? I feel like adding more into it is going to be be confusing. !<
Both are bloodlusted
Win by death/bfr/incap
EQUAL COSMOLOGY
What would your Favorite chapter be?
The Hermetic Order of Silver Twilight?
Look to the Future?
The Coven of Cannich?
Devil's Canyon?
The Worm that Walks?
The Watchers of Easter Island?
Rise of R'lyeh?
The two most powerful beings in the entire Lovecraft mythos, vs the most powerful SCP ever created. Let's hear it, who would come out victorious? My own vote goes to team Lovecraft at the moment, but I'm open to having my mind changed.
Gonna be honest, I haven't read one bit of the story so I'm lost
