A list of puns related to "Wisconsinite"
First big snowfall of the year in Western WI and Iβm already failing miserably lol. Drive belt on the snowblower snapped, right away. Got that replaced. But now thereβs simply so much snow and itβs so wet and heavy, even my 2 year old, 28-inch Ariens snowblower canβt handle it. Even tried spraying some silicon lubricant on the blades to prevent the clumping but nothing is working. Thankfully found a plow guy who can fit my driveway in last minute. $45 well spent. Hope your snow removal is going better than mine! Cheers
So I travel quite a bit, like all over the Midwest, besides others. I feel like attitude changes dramatically between WI and MN. For instance, talking to people, customer service..
I'd like to know you guys thoughts on that.
My English teacher is from Wausau and she is probably the most notorious English teacher in my school due to her intense and passionate style of teaching.
Romance brought her to Oregon and she says she misses the sports culture that is prevalent in Wisconsin the rest of the Great Lakes Megalopolis.
I personally admire Wisconsinβs relatively low cost of living while still making US News and World Reportβs Top 10 Best States overall while Oregon is 22nd.
Part of that is due to your stateβs superior higher education system. It is so diverse and plentiful with UW campuses to choose from. Eau Claire for the coffee shop liberal arts kids, LaCrosse, Green Bay, Stevenβs Point, Madison for the elites, etc.
We in Oregon are not so lucky. Our only three schools with accredited business and engineering programs are all big state universities and donβt offer the smaller environment seen in Eau Claire, Green Bay, or LaCrosse. And the education of those three schools likely lags that of the UW schools.
Do Cheeseheads have any opinions of Beavers? If so what are they?
Gun Deer hunting opens! Might be a bad weekend to try and start shit.
As someone who was raised in racine for 20 odd years I was wondering what the stereotypes and impression that Racine leaves on people. Wether it is first hand experience or just rumors.
If you have questions about Racine. I will answer also. Racine to me is the black sheep of Wisconsin.
Remove if not appropriate. π
David Jacobs is a former gymnast from Sheboygan, he won the synchronized trampoline title in 1966 at the Trampoline World Championships with classmate Wayne Miller. He also appeared by complete random in an episode of Impractical Jokers.
Not all Wisconsinites, but it seems that the majority are like this. Many will smile and laugh with a person and then talk badly about them in the same breath. They will offer to help but then talk badly about the same person after the pleasantries. I'm just curious about this practice because it seems that this is the norm and people are alright with accepting help from people that with trash talk afterward.
