Can a wing commander legally direct non-essential civilian employees to come to work even when the base is "closed" for weather?
Edited to add that we are a tenant unit on my base. My wing cc is not the base cc or host wing cc. The host base cc closed the base for all non essential personnel. The civilian employees have it specified in their PD and union contract that they are non essential.

I am really debating applying for cadet wing commander as we are a small detachment and I'm not too fond of how some people do things here so I could make a real impact. I am an AS400 though so it wouldn't affect my ranking to the point of me caring. I also don't want to deal with the senioritis of my peers including the few 800s. But I care about the way GMC are taught. I don't think I'll leave a legacy per say but should I apply anyways?
