I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

I'm surprised it hasn't decade.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

I said "hey look, an escaPEA"

No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!

It really does, I swear!

There has been a lot of discussion regarding the QB situation this year, and over the last week I have been thinking a lot about what the future at the QB position will look like for the ducks and how that is affecting the current situation. Currently, the QB room looks like this:

Currently we have three talented, blue-chip prospects sitting behind AB, and two walk on caliber players. Now I want to preface this by saying I understand the frustration fans have with AB right now. I have felt the same frustration many times throughout the season. However, I believe AB will not be benched this season, barring an injury. I think Cristobal and the offensive staff want to maintain our current QB room by keeping all three blue-chip players throughout the spring and into fall camp next year. I see three reasons why:

Maintaining QB Depth

While we as Oregon fans have been blessed with excellent QB play the past 15 years: Dixon, DT, Mariota, VAJ, and Herbert were all great college QBs and when they were on the field it felt like the ducks had a chance. But only one time did I feel comfortable with the backup coming in, and that was with Brian Bennett. Every other year the backup QB was subpar, and when the starter went down the offense was significantly affected. You don’t ever want a true freshman to be the backup if you can help it, so I think the team wants to avoid a Burmeister situation. So, if the team decides to bench AB and start Ty Thompson, like many on this sub are clamoring for, and they decide to go with Thompson for the rest of the year and don’t have a true competition for the job in the spring/fall, we will likely see transfers. If the worst-case scenario happens and both Butterfield and Ashford transfer before spring camp begins, then we will have Ty, the incoming true freshman, and 2 walk-ons in the QB room, which is not a good thing for anyone. I think the coaches really want to avoid this worst-case scenario.

Maximizing high quality reps

Building off the previous point, if we keep all 3 young QBs through the spring and fall, we maximize the number of quality reps between the first, second, and third strings. The more quality reps everyone is getting the better the team will be. It’s better for long term development if the second string QB isn’t also learning the playbook and trying to get up t
