A list of puns related to "Whiffle"
Iβm playing the game for the first time ever, but having had a decadeβs worth of random dark souls trivia spewed in my direction, I started to form an idea of what to expect prior to my first playthrough. What Iβve learned from playing is that the areas that get the most publicity tend to be less punishing than their reputation would suggest. Blighttown wasβ¦ annoying, but, to me, not all that difficult in comparison to some of the other neighborhoods in Lordranβ¦ (glares in New Londoβs direction).
O and S is a tough fight, sure, but I had a blast fighting them, then proceeded to nearly have an aneurysm fighting Four Kings until finally giving up and googling strats, suiting up with Havelβs gear and joylessly tanking my way through the fight.
Is my viewpoint unique? Probably not. Will some of you disagree? Almost certainly. Letβs discuss, shall we?
Today I've discovered how amazing these books for "children" are, by a Youtube video in which Pat reads the first one. However, I've been totally unable to find them, as they're sold out. Does anyone knows if there will be a reprint or something?
I really need to read the second one.
Can we point out how Dess smacked Kris with a wiffle ball bat till he stopped "Lying". and one of the only instances we're told of Kris lying was apparently trying to scare Noelle with "Fake blood" claiming it was ketchup which I believe Monsters don't bleed so it's hard to say what the Lie really was or why he'd seek that attention, I just feel there's some sad shit going on.
Especially when I think back to Noelle talking to Kris traveling through the Dark World city puzzle. Clearly something happened on one of the normal days the 4 of them would go out on adventures. the part that I'm kind of curious about is Noelle mentions a line that really bugs me
""When I said this place is familiar, I didn't mean it in a bad way""
""Dess always said she'd take me to a place like this.""
""Gosh, remember that night we explored the forest behind the Graveyard?""
""Ha, I know we never found anything interesting back there...""
she then goes on to say she doesn't remember anything else, she was too busy crying and had to be comforted by her sister, who gave her Azzys jacket. I wonder if something happened to them all in the Dark World and when they all got back maybe Kris insisted that it was real and Dess tried to dismiss it because Noelle was so young ((hence why she was shown in the X-Ray soul thing as a kid again))
Maybee, Kris wouldn't let it go. Maybe there was a fight and that's when she beat Kris with a Wiffle ball Bat presumably her previous Dark World weapon. That could have added to why Noelle was so scared she coped by repressing the memories possibly leading to the group falling apart, separating Kris and his brother slightly. possiblyyyy leading to the reason Kris is said to have fallen down or been inside of the cellar south of the City, Not the group. just Kris. Perhaps he was looking for the Dark World, maybe he wanted to prove it to Noelle, the idea of telling her isn't only present in the Snow grave route it exist as an idea from Susie herself that you can pick an option on. and if that is the case and if what I completely speculated at the beginning is true perhaps you ran into December in an attempt to stop you, leading to either an altercation or maybe you both falling into the cellar or at the time Cellar Dark World. I wouldn't be suprised if it's a Dark World later atleast, and if any of this would be true she's probably alive inside.
... Or maybe she died inside, maybe this is another Asriel Chara situation Esc Dess,

And in my opinion a more fun video, but there are a couple of swear words in this one. https://youtu.be/JHHCspFk2Ss
Hi All,
Yesterday I swung by Salt & Straw to test this guy out. I knew there are some people interested in this fragrance, so I thought I'd share my thoughts, but keep in mind these are my thoughts from only one wearing. They didn't have any sample vials behind the counter at the ice cream parlor for me to take. Weird, right?
Disclaimer and huge source of shame: I'm not a huge fan of Imaginary Authors. You know how people will use the term 'Guerlainade' to describe that accord and vibe that flows through all of Guerlain's fragrances? Well, I get a huge 'Authorade' from almost all of his fragrances: an evocative, creative opening that quickly disappears into a rough sweetness. But sweetness seemed pretty A-OK for a gourmand, right? I was excited to try this one.
First off, I really like the opening. You're immediately hit with a strong burnt caramel accord. It really does smell like you left the pan on the stove too long, and maybe forgot about the cones in the oven as well. It smells a little smoky, too - like what I wish A City On Fire had been, which was mainly BBQ sauce to my nose.
Unfortunately, the burnt smoke doesn't last in all its glory. In about 15 minutes it recedes to pleasant but fairly static caramel/vanilla. I wouldn't say it's overly sweet, but like I said, it definitely has that IA sweetness I detect in a lot of his stuff. I don't really get any cinnamon or cream (like you sense in Yesterday's Haze, for example), unfortunately.
Projection was low. Longevity was decent at probably 4-5 hours. For a cold-weather fragrance with these notes I would say it's a bit wimpy.
My overall impression: If you like Imaginary Authors, you will most likely dig this fragrance. It's not blowing my socks off, but it smells good. S&S made a good move hiring Josh to do this, as it's more creatively-done than it could have been. A tie-in waffle cone fragrance could have been a complete disaster.
Also, if anyone is like me and immediately wondered if this smells like Kerosene's Unknown Pleasures, the "lemon waffle cone fragrance", I would say no.
I was hoping someone could DM me and tell me where the Whiffle golf course in Bayshores is? I can't find it!

Auri was housed in Haven - the descriptions Kvothe gives sound very familiar to the Marzipan Castle..
βEventually we emerged from the forest, and the road became a path leading up a vast lawn to a huge manor house. Bigger than the Artificery, it had elegant lines, a red tile roof, high windows, arched doorways and pillars. There were fountains, flowers, hedges. . . . But something wasnβt quite right. The closer we got to the gates, the more I doubted this was some noblemanβs estate. β P307 NOTW
Maybe it was something about the design of the gardens, or the fact that the wrought-iron fence surrounding the lawns was nearly ten feet tall and unclimbable to my well-trained thiefβs eye. β P307 NOTW
Two serious-eyed men opened the gate, and we continued up the path toward the front doors. Elodin looked at me. βHave you heard of Haven yet?ββ P307 NOTW
βThe entryway was huge, with stained glass windows and vaulted ceilings. The floor was marble polished to a mirror sheen.β P307 NOTW
Is Auri still a resident of Haven, but surreptitiously escaping regularly at night into the under-thing?
Mantle
Mantle is Auri's private space and bedroom within the Underthing. Along with a bed, there is a fireplace with a mantle (hence the name), a sitting chair, a cedar clothing box, and various other trinkets, includingΒ Foxen, which is an ember that is Auri's primary light source while exploring the Underthing. Mantle has three exits, a hallway, a doorway which leads to Port, and a door which she notes "is not for her", made of oak and bound in Iron.
Port
Port is accessed through the doorway in Mantle. It contains a bookshelf, wine rack, and wall shelf, and a table in the centre, all of which hold many different trinkets. There is a crack in Port's wall which leads to Van, and a slanting doorway which leads to Withy.
Van
Van is accessed through a crack in Port's wall. It is de

Anyhow, in Princess there are some obvious clues in the pictures that break tropes and surprise the reader on second look. So with that in mind, what obvious things are there in KKC that we might be missing, that might lead is us to see the story as something other than it seems?
