A list of puns related to "Walleyed Pike"
Ok so hereβs the deal. Over the last few years Iβve accumulated a decent collection of ice fishing gear, but I have completely awful luck. I do amazing on open water, but hard water kills me every fucking year. Iβm on lake saint Clair, so catching fish should be an easy task. But year after year, I manage to catch maybe 25 fish for the whole season. Anyone got any lure recommendations, or spot recommendations for south east Michigan? I do not have a flasher or underwater camera and really canβt afford one at the moment. Any help is greatly appreciated.
going to this lake called lac st peirre

from what i understand they offer live minows or big baits (dead shad im guess or other bait)
they seem to offer dead stick ( brinbal, not sure how to transalte from french) auto fisher with flag.
im used to going for trout with worms pretty much leave it there until it bites, check if the line is freezing, empty slush from the hole.
is it much diffrent for pike, walleye, or perch?
well i just want catch somthing, im not making the holes just setting up the dead sticks, so do you just put it wo weight is on bottom or mid water ect?
i have a sonar but have not tried it for ice fishing yet, worth brining?
edit: thanks for the advice, cant wait for january
What am I not understanding? The Ubersheet claims that Walleye pay better. Are Walleye much harder to catch? I notice they seem to be more rare on the time-of-day chart.
Also, since Pike have Teeth, what's the trick to prevent them from biting through the line? Or, if that can't be prevented, how many cranks should I buy for each day of fishing? So I don't have to leave and come back when they get bit off?
One other wrinkle: I'm not buying any DLCs, so is Pike something that only makes sense when you have DLCs and can make an OP setup?
I'm still farming Bass in Everglades, but I'll be in Michigan 'soon' (tm)
Iβve heard there are walleye/pike in the Cahaba. Most folks Iβve heard of who fish it mostly go for bass and catfish. Anyone ever caught walleye/pike/other interesting stuff other than bass/crappie/bluegill/catfish?
Looking at making my own lures what shape of these 3 would be the best shape for both walleye and pike

Looking at getting soft plastic lure was wondering if you guys like a shad style bait like the big bite suicide shad or a ring style like the keitech fat swing impact for pike and walleye
I have a lake that is said to have pike and walleye populations. How would one catch a pike and walleye? What setup? I have a medium heavy fast action baitcaster for lures with 14 pound test line and a metal leader and a medium heavy spinning rod with a slower action for bait with 12 pound line and leader. What else to do? Bait? Set up?
I don't have a normal boat and mostly pier fish, but have likely access to kayaks
Was looking at getting in lure making and wondering if I should go with a Keitech swing impact fat style mold or something like this http://www.luremaking.com/catalogue/catalogue-index/catalogue-items/molds-plastics/swimbait_molds.htm
