Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of compiling the most compact travel setup for my BMPCC4K and an ND filter is the last piece, while also being the most confusing.

My main lenses are f/0.95 and while being incredible in low-light, shooting outdoors during the day becomes a challenge. To retain the depth of field achieved at f/0.95, I would need to step down about 4 stops and probably 6-8 when it's sunny. My first thought was to go for a VND (52mm thread) as it should theoretically cover all the bases but none of the filters I looked at have consistent reviews - they all seem to both have and not have the issues like vignetting, colour cast etc. Also the 'cross' issue seems to be more prominent with wide lenses? The widest I'll be using is 25mm (~50mm full-frame equivalent).

So the VND's I've been considering are from: K&F Concept, Tide Optics, Urth, Tiffen. I'd really like to keep it within £50, max £100. Share your thoughts/recommendations please :)

My fotga dp500ii mattebox has a rotating filter tray and i was wondering if i stack two 4x4 CPL filters with opposing polarity, will it result it a custom VND filter?

This is a cheaper mattebox of course ($300 USD) and I'm likely going to be getting the polar pro basecamp for my handheld rig eventually, but wanted to make better use of the mattebox i currently have for this shoulder rig by adding VND if its possible.

Would it be 2x stacked CPLs?
