A list of puns related to "Vindictus"
title. 20th anniversary incoming?
A KR player recently posted a video about what is the most popular characters in KR so I decided to make one for NA using the same methodology.
A note, because this is based on gear ranking it is skewed in favor of male characters slightly due to the differences in fashion cost so females have less money to spend on gear.
NA's Population (Recorded on 2022/1/15)
STR (Out of 996)
INT (Out of 500)
KR's for reference:

Oddly they updated the game with dx11 support months ago before KR got it. Now we finally got the 64-bit client. The other odd part about this is that the performance isn't from the client being 64-bit, it is from upgrading the physics engine to PhysX. The source engine physics was purely CPU based. Upgrading to PhysX allow the physics calculations to be done on GPU too.
Danah is going to be released next month. https://vindictus.nexon.net/event/danah/teaser
She's an int based character that uses a spirit/soul blade. I guess the sheath have some play in her gameplay too. Not sure what kind of defensive options she have, could a dodge counter or a block counter type.
With Vindictus finally receiving 64 Bit today I want to address how to actually get the most FPS from the game.
First off, I want to address a MAJOR misconception that I see way too much. This game is NOT optimized for older hardware. This is false. All this game cares about is single core, single threaded speed. This means any modern CPU with high single core speed will be better than any older hardware. Laptops, unless they using desktop CPUs, are terrible running Vindictus in general. This is due to laptop manufactures decreasing the CPU speeds to keep the laptop from overheating which in turn reduces their performance in Vindictus. 4 GHz on a laptop is worst than 4GHz on a desktop, you cannot just look at the GHz to determine single core speeds it doesn't work like that. GPU is almost irrelevant on getting higher FPS unless you are using a lot of graphic modification programs like Reshade.
Secondly, This game CANNOT use DirectX 12. Any guide that says to use this is just plain wrong. You CANNOT force DirectX 12. Sure it will say in game you are "using" it but you are NOT.
Additionally DO NOT listen to any guides that say to go to "Config-materials.txt" and edit stuff like
"threads 8"
"dxlevel 120"
THESE DO NOTHING. You cannot force Vindictus to use these options, they are ignored by the game.
This guide is following a clean base game without any modifications like Nvidia Inspector etc.
Now how to actually improve FPS
Step 1: Run on 64 Bit
Step 2: Run on Uncapped FPS (Unless its buggy for you)
Step 3: Full Screen (NOT the Custom Fullscreen)
Step 4: Settings to follow
The colors represent how important it is to follow each setting.
RED - You MUST follow these settings regardless of your PC not doing so will greatly reduce FPS
Water Effects: "Low" - This needs to be the lowest
Wait for Vertical Sync: "Disabled" - This needs to be turned off
Multicore Settings: "Enabled" - This needs to be on
Texture Streaming: "Disabled" - The biggest reason why you might have low FPS
Hardware DirectX level: "DirectX v11.0" - If DX11 is not working well for you due to low FPS or bugs use DX9. The performance difference is minimal. If you have having problems set this setting back to DX 9. This seems to be an issue for some computers.
Purple - These settings change depending on how good your CPU and GPU is.
Pretty much any modern hardware will be

Windows 7, I don't know why but I cannot launch vindictus via steam.
I have been absent so I needed to get my account re-activated, I reinstalled the game and I cleared the browser cache but nothing changed.
Steam gives the message "preparing to launch" and immediately gets shut down.
Any ideas on what should I do?
Edit: Yep I just downloaded the nexon launcher works like a charm. If anyone else have the same issue I suggest just hop to the company launcher it has no downsides thankfully.
I just bought a new laptop with i5-10500H and RTX3060. Ran a game after enabling using RTX GPU on vindictus and it STILL stutters. It seems that a lot of people with even good CPU and GPU are having the similar issue - what is the best way to minimize the laggs?
In the Team TAL drive it's only missing that but it's probably one of the ones I want the most
Been a long time since but I used to enjoy this game so much.
How is the populuation now? And how is Endgame now ?
Just downloaded it and played for the nostalgia, and it nearly seems like a ghost town. I know its more popular amongst asians, but it didnt seem lively to me at all in NA.
Game came out in 2010 and it was pretty much my main mmorpg for like 4-5 years. The combat is great, the story is fairly well done and the characters are likable.
My main grip with the game from the start was the enhancement/enchantment system. Simply put, your equipment break.
F2P mmorpgs back then were either heavily (more then now imo) payed to win, super grindy, have a crappy enhancement/enchantment system or a combination of those points. As the years went by, standards were being improved and I couldn't stay with the game any longer with how the enhancement/enchantment system was especially since I hated equipment breaking so I was always afraid of going past +8 (out of 15).
Fast forward 6 years and I decided to look up Vindictus to see if they improved the enhancement/enchantment system. To my surprise, they did. Equipment doesn't break, you can try over and over again with increase rates each time (before once it broke, it's gone, later they add a one time try again method but imo wasn't good enough) and they're going to remove +16 enhancement and above.
They just added dx11 support and going to release a 64 bit client too which I never thought is possible since they use a custom source engine.
The downsize is that it is a hub based game. Not everyone will like that. Graphics are showing their age too but nothing terrible overall. Starting content is fairly easy with it trying to get you leveled faster so that can be a downside for some but I do recommend reading the story and for the characters.
Someone on the vindictus subreddit made a great beginners guide Returning Player guide if anyone is interested. https://www.reddit.com/r/Vindictus/comments/nqcuil/guide_returning_player_information_breakdown/
Is it just impossible to devise a system like that in an mmorpg? I know the current game is like dungeon and instances but the combat is so satisfying, where people literally play the game just to play out the raid even though they know that the drops and time spent would be a near complete waste of time progression wise. It speaks volumes when people are looking more forward to the damage % charts than the actual drops of the raid.
So I played Vindictus for a good 5 years on and off before finally quitting because I just couldn't cope with the network lag. That noise it would make every time I logged on, like a broken record skipping over the same part of the opening tune over and over and over.... Urgh! Gives me (bad) chills just thinking about it!
I've been searching for years to find a replacement, but have always found myself disappointed and missing Vindictus. (Thinking of trying BDO next, because of the amount of people that compare the two, but really I just want a non-buggy Vindictus if I'm honest!) Has it improved at all? Is the network lag still a game destroying thing? Don't really wana reinstall, update and get excited again just to find out it's doing the same old sh*t.
Hi there, wanna start playing Vindictus but idk im not sure if i can play with my low spec computer:
8gb ram, GT 1030 2GB, i310100f 4ghz, win 10, so whats ur opinion can i play with this with no lags?
Iβm not sure if it could work but do you guys think that we could make a petition for a vindictus 2 maybe the developers could see how much we love this game and are willing to lose time over it. I started playing this game since the beginning , Iβm almost 21 now and Iβm just desperate for a sequel my brother introduced me to the game we had SOO MUCH fun but when I see the state of the game now itβs sad . that game is for a lot of us the best mmo maybe even the best game that we played ( if someone can make a petition please let me know Iβll try to get as many signatures possible )
some game i played a few years ago. similar to vindictus but all i can remember from it is these little zepelin thingies when on the world map moving from area to area. i dont remeber much else. more hack and slash than magic type. i actually dont remeber any "mage" class tho they did have some abilities
I used to be a massive Vindictus fan but have quit playing since 2015 due to game's quality falling down a cliff. Been trying to find an MMORPG to fill the void but to no avail.
Stumble upon New World by sheer chance and decided to give it a try. Went into the beta and HOLY MOTHER. This game gave me serious Vindictus vibes. The world, the atmosphere, the combat (although not as flashy or as fluid) and the dungeons (ESPECIALLY THE DUNGEONS OMG).
Just wanna give a big shout out to AGS for making this game and giving me the game to finally filling this void that I have had since 2015.
Can't wait for Sep 28.
Does anyone have the server files for the Japanese servers or voice files? Iβve been trying to get Lynnβs voice files with next to no luck. I have an extractor I just need access to the HFS folders. It can be either from JP or Taiwan servers (before they replaced it with Korean)
The closest thing I've been able to find in my opinion is Black desert online, but that just felt... ehh in comparison. I loved the open world of BDO, and maybe I just didn't get far enough, but the enemies just didn't feel very interactive. One of the biggest examples of this that I can remember is having to go to this area for a quest and there were just hundreds of enemies there, in their little village setup type of thing. I jumped in and started slaughtering a path through them to get to the quest area... and was completely ignored by the enemies 15ft away form the pile of their friends I was making.
In Vindictus it felt like the enemies were actually responding to the fact that I was there among them, and maybe it's simply due to the fact that vindictus is instanced rather than open world so they were able to make the enemies AI's more complicated.
Hopefully I didn't make the post too confusing, but I wanted to try to convey the feelings that I was getting from each game, so let me know if I need to clear something up or add more detail somewhere.
So I'd like these 2 sets of armor from vindictus from http://modtype.doorblog.jp/18920290.html But the only issue is the download link for it has been axed. Does anyone happen to have this? All the other vindictus packs I see online don't have these armors.
Hey everyone!
So I've had this question on my mind for quite sometime as the title mentions. I was wondering what keeps current Vindi players on the game for a consistent amount of time. Or to those who no longer play, what stopped you from playing the game?
I ask because my wife and I play this game in intervals, and the reason we end up stopping is due to the horrible drop rate throughout. I didn't want to write a book about our reasoning though, and want to hear from others and their experiences.
Edit: Thank you so much to the individuals who gave awards! Please know my wife and I are actively reading every single response and we love hearing everything everyone has to say, both the positive and the negative!
Title. I miss this game dearly but it's just too outdated. Genshin impact is way too easy.
My friends want to start playing Vindictus coop style. How many friends (max party) can you play with from low level to end game?
