A list of puns related to "Trinity Killer"
What's Kurt's Serial Killer name?
What do you think? Season finale having John Lithgow talking to Harrison in the background ala Debra/Harry to Dexter. Backup guess is Hannah.
I believe in episode 9 of New Blood Dexter claims to have killed βhundredsβ of people. Although we have 144 known kills roughly throughout the series, weβll round it out to 200. Trinity has 279 known direct kills with 6 indirect kills and has been doing it for longer and avoided evasion longer than Dexter. So is it confirmed now that Trinity was a better serial killer than Dexter?
is it really so hard to imagine a man who could balance being a serial killer and a family man? i get that dexter is having trouble adjusting to his new life, but that's just it, its just an adjustment period, he isn't gonna find a magic fix-it-all button no matter how far up the trinity's ass he goes searching.
shouldn't he ask advice from angel first? who is also a father? rather than seek guidance from TK?
i don't find the plot very compelling. previous times he showed hesitation or put himself at risk were for a brother byni, doakes, and a "potential true friend" miguel (which is arguably priceless).
i just wish there was a better reason for him not to immediately kill TK and actually put himself at risk, other than some silly fascination. thoughts?
Basically the title, i was looking for films this evening and saw the Trinity Killer on the cover of the film Daddys Home 2. Such a different look for him, this goofy silly loving father, versus the Trinity Killer.
thats all
Iβm really enjoying having Dexter back, but one major thing is eating at me. If Molly took the time to do an entire podcast about the Trinity Killer, how would she not recognize Dexter as Jim? She wouldβve 100% had info, pictures, etc. on him.
Who agrees?
I hate Molly Park's character. At 8:50 she says " And kiddo if you are out there and you wanna be a guest at Merry F*ucking kill. I would love to pick your brain, find out what track you ended up on 'psycho' or 'perfectly normal'. That's something only a cold blooded b*tch would say.
Not to mention the way she talks, the episode have some teaser about 'Bay Harbor Butcher' and 'The Ice Truck Killer' appearing on her pod but I don't feel like listening to any other MFK episode.
Extra episode, it's Molly podcast that Harrison listened to before accident with Ethan. It's cool to see a movie that have something like "appendix".

which part you think will affect Harrison the most ?
Marked as spoiler so that known information discussed will not spoil something for someone waiting to binge episodes ...
Quick thought:
Trinity (John Lithgow) will make an appearence in the series at some point.
Will this be as Harrison's dark passenger?
At this point it seems logical that this would be the case, and would make organic sense within the storyline for the return of Lithgow.
However, I feel that an issue arrising from this is that it is unlikely that Lithgow would return in any long-term capcity in future installments of Dexter which means that if the assumption about Trinity's role is true .... Then Harrison's role is unlikely to continue in the future ... It just wouldn't make sense to have a reveal like Lithgow as his dark passenger, show them interacting, and then be unable to ever show it again, but only able to allude to it.
The keep harping on the fact that everyone dexter loves ... well you know ....
We all know the decision that Dexter made in Season 1. Although his emotions have evolved to a degree since that time, Dexter is still Dexter, and it's quite possible he may have to make a similar choice. I think that too a lot of us, that was a big part of what made Season 1 so great. It was just so hard to believe what Dexter did (even knowing the "had" to do it) that it kept us thinking about it long after the finale.
A similar action would be about as true as Dexter could be to himself.
If Lithgow appears in some other capacity, this theory may not hold as much water lol.
I haven't seen this discussed anywhere yet but Harrison seems to mention how he wanted to use the same Razor on the Trinity Killer. He attacked the kid at school with it and the wrestling team before Dexter was captured. He seems to be attached to it. Carries it with him everywhere.
Theory 1: This is probably a wild theory but since this is the last week we can speculate why not throw this out there. I personally feel the writers are setting it up to mislead everyone. Maybe Harrison's dark passenger isn't fulfilled by Dexter's method but by Trinity's method. I wouldn't be surprised if Audrey came home to Angela being bled out in her bathtub done by Harrison. That blood flowing to his shoe seemed to awaken something in him.
Theory 2: The billionaire comes back into play. When Angela goes to investigate the Kurt trophy hallway I feel Audrey gets captured by the billionaire. Harrison gets his first kill on him to save Audrey and Angela witnesses his kill. She then sees that he needs Dexter in his life and decides to keep it all a secret.
That's all I got. Looking forward to seeing what happens!
He is more than capable of remembering how he looks like.
Not sure if anyone posted about this yet, but the Trinity Killer podcast from Merry F*ucking Kill is on Showtimes' YT. Its about 10minutes long.
The script sounds different than what we heard in the show. But it's clear Molly did her research on what happened and knows a little bit more of who was involved.
For those who don't want to take the time to listen -> >!She doesn't mention Dexter's name, but she name drops Deb and Rita. And believes Trinity killed Rita because of Deb closing in on him.!<
If she is a good investigator, she would have done research on Rita. She would have found out Rita had a husband that was a blood analyst who later went missing after his sister was killed by another serial killer. That would be a true crime podcasters wet dream. Itβs entirely possible, if not probable, that she would know what Dexter looks like. Or maybe she tracked what happened to Harrison and Found out he was in Argentina and then came back to Miami. It just canβt be a coincidence that sheβs in the same town as Dexter and Harrison when she did an episode on the Trinity killer.
Hello everyone. I don't know if it's already been noticed, but I think the razor we see in the trailer for Dexter season 9 is the razor used by the Trinity Killer for killing women in their baths. Indeed, if we look at the scenes of season 4, the razor seems to be the same as in the trailer. The razor handle even looks the same. This razor is quite important in the trailers, there was even an instagram post on it, with a rather enigmatic text. https://www.instagram.com/p/CTSjstNtnz2/ If that's the trinity killer's razor, that would explain why Dexter is looking at him with such a peculiar face in the trailer. What do you think ? How would Dexter find this razor?
So I'm in the midst of rewatching the series before the new season airs and have gotten to the end of Season 4 where they kill off Rita..... now, I watched it when it first aired with my friends and we thought the ending was horrible, as I think a lot of people did too. Now before I get roasted on details, I don't quite remember the details of the last season but from what I remember, Dexter kills Debra and then sails off into the hurricane on his boat... only to become a lumberjack.
Now rewatching season 4, his 'departure' literally parallels the Trinity Killer's. Arthur Mitchell withdrew everything from the bank and was going to drive off in his prized car into the sunset leaving his family (Sally, Jonah, Rebecca) behind. The entire season, Dexter was comparing his life to Arthur's, and trying to see how Arthur made his dark life and family life work. In the end, when it came to leave, Dexter didn't have a prized car, but his boat was his baby, and he sailed away leaving Cody, Astor and Harrison behind.
As for killing Debra, there was a scene where Deb says something like "Fuck no, if that was me, kill me so I don't suffer" and that's exactly what Dexter did....
So I *may* need to rethink how I feel about the finale.... but granted, I haven't rewatched seasons 5-8 yet... your thoughts?
People here tend to believe that Trinity has some inconsistencies when it comes to his character (deer scene, suddenly restarting the cycle, bludgeoning that random guy to death) but I think they are just misinterpretating him. As we all know he's a pretty religious person and feels deep remorse for his deeds. You can see it for example in the scene where Lundy is profiling the typical psychopathic serial killer. Trinity is showering and adjusting the water temperature to the highest point. I think he tried to simulate the biblical "hellfire" to punish himself for his crimes. β Trinity only killed during the cycles. People think that he was just acting in the scene where he had to kill the deer (but couldn't). But I believe that he really wasn't able to do it. First of all, the deer wasn't part of the cycle. Second of all, he couldn't project anyone onto the deer. During the cycles he was projecting his family members (himself, sister, mother, father) onto his victims.
Trinity became sociopathic (not psychopathic!) due to his sisters death, his mothers suicide and the mistreatment on the part of his father. His father was his first kill. And during the cycles it seems like he's "gathering pain" through his first three kills (kid, young woman, mother) and then unleashing all of his gathered pain on the fourth victim (the father). Just like it took place originally in his past. He unleashed all of his pain on his own father.
I believe the turning point for Trinity was when Dexter stopped his suicide attempt. He even told him that he believes that god sent him for him. I think that was the point when Trinity completely unleashed his "dark passenger" because he thought that god was "kinda okay" with it or rather that god is ready to "forgive" him for that... I mean why else should god have sent Dexter to save his suicide attempt? Clearly it was a divine revelation.
His guilty conscience and religious faith were the only things restricting his killings to one cycle per year but after he started thinking that god is giving him the go-ahead or rather forgiving him for his deeds he started killing outside of the cycle (started another one too soon, that Kyle guy he bludgeoned to death and of course Rita). I think his words during his last scene are supporting my thoughts. When he's on Dexters table he again says that "god led him to him" and that all of this would be "god's plan".
I don't really get why people think that the pacing in season 4 was bad because

So I've been rewatching Dexter, I finished it in 2013 at the age of 16, not knowing much. But I found it on Prime and got excited to re-watch it.
Been a month and I felt like googling something and I found out that Dexter season 9 is being made so as to make up for the poor ending that season 8 offered.
I'm at season 4 and I know that >!Trinity kills Rita!< , because of which I just don't want to watch it. They made Rita as especially nosey and put her in a bad light since the beginning of the season so that >!we wouldn't stick with her demise!< for too long, but having just finished Season 3 and starting with 4 knowing that >!she's gonna die!< is really making me skip all the scenes where Trinity Killer appears.
>!Rita's death is too much to take. :/ !<
I feel like the trinity killer was one of the best villains in the show
