A list of puns related to "Treaty Of Troyes"
This question may be erring a little close to counterfactuals, but with regards to the Treaty of Troyes (1420) is it known whether the French nobility would have supported Henry V of England as the successor to Charles VI of France? Presumably there is evidence for the prevailing sentiments in France from which we can attempt to draw conclusions about the general feeling towards Henry V as heir to the French throne.
Was the eventual war due to the weakness of the English (due to the regency, etc) or is there documented support for Charles VII even when Henry V was alive (implying that there would have been a war on the death of Charles VI)?
In short, is it likely that Henry V predeceasing Charles VI caused to increased the support given to Charles VII and the resumption of hostilities? Was the treaty of Troyes even expected to hold?
It's just so not fair. Why are all the hottest guys so low on the damn Kinsey Scale?! *SOB*
Like, I know I'm more sexually attracted to women, if not necessarily in a romantic sense, but I would let this guy sweep me off my feet in a heartbeat, and then let him have his wicked way with me. AUUUGH. It's just so not FAIIIIIR.
.........sorry, to reitirate again, I am actually pretty drunk right now. And I'm crying over my super gorgeous same-sex friend who's only attracted to girls. WHY?!?!?!
anyone else? lol

Hurry up before it goes out of stock again. Hope this helps anyone who missed out on the Amazon deal earlier today.
Note: Troyes was Game of the Week on /r/boardgames two years ago today. This GoTW repost gives people of the sub a chance to discuss the game again after a bit of time has passed. Do you still play it? If so, how often does it make it to the table? Has the game held up after repeated plays? Has it moved up or down in your personal ranking? Has it been replaced by a newer, similar game? Has it replaced a game?
Below is the original Game of the Week post from August 19th, 2015:
This week's game is Troyes
Description from Boardgamegeek:
In Troyes, recreate four centuries of history of this famous city of the Champagne region of France. Each player manages their segment of the population (represented by a horde of dice) and their hand of cards, which represent the three primary domains of the city: religious, military, and civil. Players can also offer cash to their opponents' populace in order to get a little moonlighting out of themβanything for more fame!
Make your underlings:
work on the cathedral
combat misfortune
bustle about the city
and other such tasks that are below your family's stature

I was thinking of the lines in Hailee Steinfeld's new song "Most Girls" that seemingly support trans people:
> You know some days you feel so good in your own skin/But it's okay if you want to change the body that you came in
and with the growing awareness of the T in LGBT (of which I am a part), I'm wondering how long it will be before we get an actual trans person making pop music on the hot 100.
I used those two as examples because between "Same Love" - yeah, by Macklemore, I know - and "Youth", both were able to score hits with writing music about, at least tangentially, being queer.
I'm not sure Laura Jane Grace is appearing on that chart anytime soon, for example, but who will? My money was on Shea Diamond, but she hasn't released anything after the excellent "I Am Her."
There probably needs to be a larger trans market for some stuffy executive to even consider signing a trans person, but what would have to happen in order to get a trans person in pop, rather than the punk rock/avant-garde genres?
I got VIP! Also getting stoned AF and crying my heart out to I'm So Tired and The Good Side. Who else is going!?
Edit: teenage fangirls ruined the sentimental value of the show, but it was still pretty good nonetheless.
Hello Reddit,
Throughout the months, I've been seeing many people attempting to sell tickets or merchandise directly on this subreddit. The winds of change are constantly blowing and we are not immune from them. We have a couple of announcements this episode that, if you're a fan of the show, you are likely not going to want to miss. We appreciate your feedback, as always, but especially with this episode. We hope to hear from y'all and, as always, enjoy the show!
We have lots of content in this episode and a couple of announcements. We have three(!) game trailers (1849, Castles of Burgundy, & Quebec) in addition to the main feature: Troyes! Sit back, put your headphones in and enjoy yourself! I have a hunch there will be plenty to discuss.

Before I begin, just to clarify, I have nothing against the LGBT community, I myself am gay, but I'm seeing a huge trend in pop culture where these people get famous and a lot more attention only for being part of the LGBT community. They don't get famous for what they do (a lot of their music is dull and not that great imo, I get that people have different tastes but there's no variety in their music, style, or voice), but rather get famous for being gay and I think it sends a bad message to people who are overly influenced & consumed by the media. Being gay is not a special attribute, I'm about as proud as being gay as I am proud to have hair, it's a part of me, but it's how I style it that matters. With being gay, it's how you maintain a relationship, or how you can overcome possible obstacles that influences pride. This whole "look at me, I'm gay and I'm an oppressed minority" is honestly just a moneygrab and it's working and I hate how it's working. It doesn't put a good face to the community and if homophobic people were to look at it the way it is I wouldn't see them changing their views.
I don't feel as if they should disregard their sexuality, it obviously comes up and it can be an important issue to talk on, but using it to your advantage to get ahead in popularity or just making it the sole existence of your being is just not okay in my book. Someone who is good at addressing their sexuality in my opinion is Ellen. She's hardly ever addressed it as a "hindrance to her life/self-esteem" as others have to the extent that they have, and she doesn't drag on about it every single episode or product that she makes, because she has other qualities as well, like being funny, witty, and being a generous person, that make her worth watching (to middle-aged moms). She acts like a regular human being, and she's probably influenced a lot of people from homophobia just because they reestablished their stance on gay people being these horrible awful sinners who are in it for attention and lust.
