I've been playing Shipwrecked for a short while now and so far I love it! (I have 2 files I've been playing it on) ...But my Trawl Nets recently stopped working. I never had an issue with it before. The net just disappears upon filling up now! If I manually remove it early, I can see the net bobbing in the water as normal (but obviously can't access it if you stop it early).
But letting it fill up naturally causes it to just vanish.
Things I've tried:
Verify intergrity of game files.
Deleting DLC002 and then re-downloading it.
Uninstalling all of my mods.
Loading my other file (it still did the same thing).
Trying a different pc (it still did the same thing).
Deleting the game in its entirety and then re-installing (yep, you guessed it - it still didn't fix it).
I'm at my wits' end here. I have no idea how to fix this bug.
Not being able to use a Trawl Net is heartbreaking! There's still so many things I wanna be able to do...

Hey all. I was sitting in my math class (as a teacher) recently while my students were working, and I decided to figure out the probability of the Quacken spawning if you fill a single trawl net. The result is surprisingly high!
Assumptions: 1 trawl net has 9 slots. Probability of finding Quacken is p = 0.05 for each slot filled. Probability Quacken is not found is q = 0.95 for each slot filled.
Let X be the number of slots filled when Quacken spawns.
Probability that Quacken is found after k slots are filled is P(X=k) = q^(k-1)*p
Thus, the probability that Quacken spawns with the first trawl net is
P(X<=9)
=P(X=1) + P(X=2) + ... + P(X=9)
=p + qp + (q^2 )p + ... + (q^8 )p
= p(1 + q + q^2 + ... + q^8 )
=p(1-q^9 )/(1-q)
=0.3698
With a single trawl net, there is roughly a 37% chance of Quacken spawning! Higher than I thought.
Bonus points if you find an error in my math. (Haven't taught probability like this in a while.)
Edit: I screwed up an exponent, so the probability was inflated by 3%. My students must never know. Shh.
So I haven’t played Don’t Starve in probably a year (I didn’t even know Hamlet was a thing until I was looking up YouTube videos to get back into it). Now maybe I’m mistaken but when you use a trawl net it’s supposed to drop IN THE WATER immediately upon being full right? Because I’m playing walani and she keeps giving the voice line for filling a trawl net and dropping it, it drops out of my boat’s inventory BUT ITS NOWHERE TO BE SEEN ON THE MAP?!
Am i just missing something or is this some sort of bug I don’t know about since it has been a while?
