A list of puns related to "Tinea Corporis"
Anyone had any luck filing for it? I got diagnosed in service and have been using ketaconazole prescription for like 4 years and when I donβt it flares up and covered my torso, arms, some of my neck and hairline and itches. Thanks.

Start 1% topical clotrimazole BID?
Hello peeps in /r/Dermatology.
I just have a few questions on curing this damn annoyance.
I've had Tinea Corporis since I've been small as where I came from (Macedonia) it was very common and LOTS of people had it. My parents had it. Therefore, I got it.
It's been annoying only because I'm sick of having it.
Clotrimazole works great, but I want to get more than a 1%. I hear I need an Rx for that. I am wanting to do a more permanent solution. Currently I am trying to use a 1% selenium sulfide bodywash/shampoo for a few months to see if it clears up permanently. However I have a few questions...
Can it be cured/removed? I realize it's just a fungus and theoretically speaking it should be able to be removed.
Is there like a 5% "bath" that I can purchase/be prescribed that's like Clotrimazole? Or similar? Reason why is because I just want it gone. It would make sense to be able to soak up to my neck in like a 5% bath for like say, every other day for a month or two. That would theoretically kill it.
Will just using a selenium sulfide based bodywash/shampoo for a few months be able to completely rid me of it as well? If it will then I'll just go that route. Also, will I need a prescription to go over 1% strength?
Thank you for reading this wall of text :)
I'm going to try to make this as short as possible, basically this is the second time I've been riddled with ringworm, and this time it's worse because it is all over my body, and I don't even know exactly where because some spots don't itch and yet I'm almost sure there is ringworm there because of a very light circular shape there which I have tons of these spreading and it's really taking a toll on me. I'm taking ketoconazole 2% trying to stay away from steroid creams because they don't usually work and make things worse, so to my Main problem, how do I get all the spots? Is there a body wash of some sort? I only know of shampoos for ringworm of the scalp.
And to my other questions
can tinea corporis transform into tinea faciei? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I don't know everything about ringworm but I think I've also got it on my face. Again very lightly circled.
can it go away on its own?
should I use a sponge/ loofah when showering?
what is the best most potent OTC cream? I'm going to have to buy a bucket of this stuff.
Anyway I hope you guys can help me with my problem, it's all I think about all day long, it's incredibly stressful and I hope none of you ever have to deal with this.
Introduction
Fungi are eukaryotic multicellular organisms with membrane-bound organelles, abundantly existing globally. They are one of the primary decomposers (saprophytes) and recyclers in the ecosystem, occurring from places like terrestrial soil, and air to aquatic water, nutritionally adept as symbionts or grow on dead organics matter. Correspondingly, their growth on organisms like on humans is not unusual, but circumstantial as they exist everywhere, and their spores can infect and grow on your bodies as simply as a consequence of immunocompromise or immunodeficiency. At other circumstances, their occurrence relates to poor hygiene and exposure to (percutaneous exposure or inhalational) or direct inoculation of fungal spores. (Feather, 2021)
The diseases caused by fungi are called mycoses or fungal diseases which affect the body and are traditionally classified into three basic categories which are superficial, subcutaneous, and systemic respectively, according to the part of the body they infect. Superficial infections include tinea usually occurrent on the skin as rash and allergies, while the subcutaneous fungal infections appear as internal tissue inflammation, and systemic infections usually affect a whole organ or the system such infections include pneumonia, pneumocystis, histoplasmosis etcetera. Coincidentally, the latter is the most virulent and deadly of them all, others may be treatable through antifungal drugs, usually topical for superficial and or oral for subcutaneous infections. ("Fungal Diseases Homepage | CDC", 2021)
Prevalence of Mycoses
A substantial amount of people is exposed to fungus due to its ubiquitous nature. The prevalence of mycoses or fungal diseases influences worldwide affecting more than a billion people annually. Exactly, a year ago in 2020, the annual death from fungal infections reached 1.7 million, which is a significant increase since 2017 when the deaths accounted for 1.6 million. The profusion in mortality rates pertains to the undiagnosed condition of the disease or a misdiagnosis, resulting in a fallacious medical treatment with an apparent deterioration of health and coincidentally result in a fatality. (Kainz et al., 2020)
Superficial Mycoses
These fungal infections are incident over the top layer of the skin or the dermal layer, consisting of fungi causing tinea of the skin that are normal fungal skin infections, Malassezia that is pigmentation causing infection, and sometimes candi

Burner account for reasons which will become obvious.
For the last year I've had this small circulqr patch of dry skin on my leg. Didn't think anything of it. I wasn't very good at diligent moisturiser use, so I assumed it was dry skin. A few months went by and this small dark brown spot was joined by a few more. Again, I thought it was weird but maybe me going patchy brown from the sun.
This is where I should add to my shame and point out I'm a doctor. Did a brief mental run through of what it could be, but it wasn't a red circle, it just a brown dry sheened patch. With a small dot in the middle.
This continued for at least a year. And on deciding this was ridiculous I began religiously moisturising. But the little dry suckers never changed. By this point, im starting to see random ones on my knee.
One day last week I had 3 different patients in hospital I prescribed tinea treatment for. And they all had nice red rashes on their alabaster skin.
"Wow tinea sure is common" said my stupid stupid brain.
But something about the tinea stuck with me. Lingered in my brain. Until today I looked at those spots on my legs and realised they were, in fact, tinea corporis. I just don't go red.
On the bright side I'm not a dermatologist.
TL:DR: Spent a year thinking tinea was dry skin. Now have random lesions all over my body.

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
