A list of puns related to "The Walker Brothers"
Depending on how many sons Craster gave up to the WWs, thereβs probably quite a few related to Gilly. Could this have any bearing over the next couple of episodes or could it even be addressed? This fact seems to go under the radar.
Hey r/Fayetteville, I have a wedding to go to soon and Iβve recently dropped about 20 pounds so Iβm in need of a new suit. Anyone have any experience with Walker Brothers? Howβs the price? Any other suggestions? Thanks!
Some backstory: a couple years ago, I decided to go back to college for computer science. I moved back in with my parents, and they've been mostly financially supporting me. I decided to forego an internship this summer so I could take a summer class and graduate in December 2019 instead of May 2020. I agreed to watch my brother's dog for free, for the entire month of July while the rest of my family (mom, dad, brother, SIL) are on vacation in Hawaii. (We go to Hawaii every few years, and I needed to take classes this summer, so I am not upset about being left out).
My brother works as a software engineer for a top 10 tech company. I won't mince words here--he has been a godsend to me throughout this degree. He tutored my stupid ass through the calc sequence. He let me come over whenever I wanted to discuss homework assignments. He taught me how to "whiteboard" (solve coding problems on a whiteboard in front of a hiring committee). He has made it his side project to ensure I graduate this program with a tech job. I'm incredibly grateful, but frankly not surprised. He and I have always been really close.
A few days ago (like, literally within the last week), I interviewed for an internship in the same city my college is in, and got an offer. So I'm going to get to intern and graduate early, since my summer class doesn't start til 6 pm. I was ecstatic, and my brother and SIL were too when I told them. I've never witnessed anyone be so genuinely thrilled at my accomplishments. It was awesome.
This left the matter of the dog. I live 45 minutes from campus, so on days that I didn't have class after work, I'd be gone from around 8 AM-6 PM. On days I have class, it'll be more like 8 AM-10:30 PM. It was actually my SIL that suggested the dog walker--one walk on days I just have work, two walks on days I have work and class. No walks on the weekends, obviously. It's $15 per walk, so $90 a week. The dog hotel they would leave her at otherwise is $60 a night. So they're looking at around $360 vs the $1680 they'd spend if I wasn't able to take her.
My brother is in the top 1% for his tax bracket. He makes more than my mom, my dad, my SIL, and me (before I went back to school) combined. And none of us (except me) make terrible salaries. Plus he and my SIL don't have any kids, so their mortgage is really their only expense. So the money isn't an issue for them; it's not like they're going to be struggling to make ends meet now that it's going to cost them $36
... keep reading on reddit β‘Looking for older and mellow, but still somewhat dance-able lo-fi 60s and 70s rock and motown type stuff. I'm really digging the soft and upbeat melancholy so prevalent in music of this era.
Some specific songs on there already:
The Walker Brothers - The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore
The Kinks - Sunny Afternoon
The Beachboys - Wouldn't it be nice
The Turtles - Elenore
