Yellow leaves on a zz? She has a lot of new growth but suddenly a few of the leaves on the bottom have started yellowing. I water her every 2-4 weeks when the soil is completely dry and sheβs in a terra cotta pot. Pls help me figure out whatβs wrong, I love her so much!

Affordable terra cotta pot suggestions?
Hi all! Iβm just getting in to container gardening and looking for good prices on terra cotta pots in various sizes to plant citrus trees, pomegranate, a blueberry bush, cherry tree, etc. I prefer unglazed to keep the price down and help with moisture wicking.
I checked out local nurseries (Great Outdoors and the Natural Gardner) but I think the prices seem high.
I also looked at 10,000 Pots out on 290, but everything is glazed. They donβt carry plain terra cotta.
I appreciate any suggestions! Iβm eager to get my plants in their home.

Micans in terra cotta: How often do you water?
I've recently potted up my micans into a terra cotta pot. It dries out much more quickly than it did in the plastic nursery pot. I'm trying to avoid watering too often/too much, but I want to be sure I'm not under-watering either.
For those who have micans in terra cotta: how often do you water?
My micans sits in front of a south-facing window, about a foot back, where it receives maybe an hour of direct/dappled sunlight, the rest of the time it gets bright indirect light.

Getting ready to start growing succulents for my centerpieces! So excited! Total cost of trays, soil mix, seeds, and painted terra cotta pots was less than $150 so less than $1 per pot and I should have tons of succulents left over to sell! Biggest expense is definitely time.

History question: Terra Cotta factory near Deerfield?
Anyone know if there was a decorative terra cotta factory in the northern suburbs circa 1910? A distant relative from Italy is in the 1910 Deerfield census listed as a terra cotta worker. He was a sculptor and mold maker. I suppose he may have commuted to Northwestern Terra Cotta in Chicago but that seems like a long ways.

I Found five widows, all this beautiful brown and metallic silvery gold color, in a terra cotta pot that had been upside down and outside all winter. I left them where they were and used a different pot.

Just finished this build in survival. Still LOTS to do for outside design. I wish the terra-cotta as more white. But itβs not bad. I donβt 100% love the roof. The roof was a pile of frustration.
