A list of puns related to "Swivel Chair"
I've been searching for rotating chairs on Swivel bases for a while now, however I get the feeling im not using the proper term to find them more accurately. What are they actually called? Captains chair?
How did you go about finding yours because right now I'm using Facebook marketplace. If I knew what the proper term was called, I could look up vehicles that have it and salvage them from junkyards.
0/10 game literally unplayable smh
Exactly what the post says. Looking for an inexpensive but decently comfortable chair. Color doesn't matter, and it just needs to make very little noise (i.e. no squealing, bouncing, etc.) Any kind of chair is welcome.
Purchased for $25 on Facebook marketplace today. I had hoped they were mid century and have verified the markings that they are Nautilus Swivel Chairs by Kagan. Theyβre in rough shape so Iβm wondering if I should try to sell them as is or reupholster them to sell or keep? Ideally weβd like to keep them for our space: unable to locate this βlovelyβ fabric.
Is it appropriate for a fancy restaurant? No but who cares?
So I recently bought a swivel chair which was decently easy to swivel in store. I tried my new one at home and itβs pretty hard to get to turn and it snaps back into facing forward. Iβd like to be able to swivel and then stay facing a new position. I see thereβs a spring in the base which is preventing me from doing this. Is there a way to take this spring out? Or make the chair easier to swivel?
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
(I wrote this under another post as a comment but I wanted to make it a post with more details).
I have been having some back and neck pain and wanted to go with a better chair. Previously, I had a Staples mid-back chair from August and it was giving me a good amount of pain. I think the main problems were because the support was getting lost (the cushion was not useful anymore) and then the mid-back wasn't enough for me. And, I have never paid attention to ergonomic chairs so far -- I just had executive chairs.
Fair enough, based on some suggestions here too, I went with Clatina ergonomic high swivel executive chair. However, I am not feeling comfortable, unfortunately.
Pros: The build quality is good and feels reliable. The pad is truly thick and supporting well, but I think it is a bit on the firmer side and maybe will change over time. I bought the fabric one and the back support overall is good.
Cons: The lumbar support is making me uncomfy -- I feel that it's not right (even though it is adjustable, I wasn't able to find a sweet spot). The head/neck support does not feel comfy too, maybe because I am not used to it. Another thing I hate about it is the armrest -- they are far away: if you are reclining and want your arms near your body, there is no armrest for your arms, maybe your elbows will touch the end of the armrest. I later realized that even in the photos, this is the case. In terms of the reclining, even though it says 135 degrees, I am not sure how they calculate it -- I think it goes up to 120 only (when I recline, it does not go 135 and I don't want to force and break it).
I started thinking that I am not sitting correctly and this is the cause of feeling uncomfortable and a bit of pain as well. I try to follow 90degrees sitting, but then I get extremely tired in a short amount of time. So, I may return it (unfortunately bought it from Amazon and there may be some restocking fee) or re-sell it on CL or FB.
I am not really sure what I can and should do about the chair -- I just need a comfy chair that should let me work long hours in front of the computer. I am mainly interested in a reclining chair since I feel at ease when I sit this way.
I am open to any suggestions.
Have a comfortable sitting :-)
