A list of puns related to "Super Bowl Xix"
This series got underway earlier today with the Super Bowl XVIII halftime show review, and I think that this new posting time is going to be when this series will go up. For the moment, expect a new History of Halftime to go up every day sometime between 7:00 and 11:00 PM EST. Now, with that being said, if you saw my Super Bowl XVIII halftime show review (and Iβll have a link to all of the halftime shows at the bottom of each post), then youβll notice the format that Iβm going to be putting this series in. Iβll always have some background information at the start, Iβll then offer my review and criticisms with the halftime show, and then, offer up my solution for how I wouldβve fixed the halftime show given those circumstances. Today, weβve got the Super Bowl XIX halftime show, so letβs dive right inβ¦ because this oneβs pretty bad.
Background Information
Before I start on the background info, if you want to know how much work goes into producing a Super Bowl halftime show, this was a really good documentary I found from the database that goes into the making of the Super Bowl XIX halftime show. A lot of work goes into making these things, and that was thirty years ago when the halftime show was really just an extended bathroom break. Too bad that all that work turned out in a complete disaster of a halftime show, but weβll get to that a bit later.
The producer of this halftime show was Tops in Blue, which is a touring performance ensemble made up of members of the United States Air Force. It was actually announced recently that they are not performing in 2016, and they may cancel the performance ensemble all together. This was the first time that Tops in Blue ever did the Super Bowl halftime show, and this was only their second time ever doing a major event to begin with. In 1981, they performed at halftime of the Garden State Bowl (a bowl so successful that it got cancelled the next year), which was televised on Mizlou TV Network. If you look at Mizlouβs current website, which was actually updated this year (shocking, I know), you can see that this group hadnβt done any major events in the past. Super Bowl XIX was their first major performanceβ¦ and boy, did it show.
It should be noted that the Super Bowl before this was done by Disney, and the United States Air Force tried to do more of the same here. One of the other reasons that I started with the Super Bowl XVIII halftime sh

EDIT: I am quite clearly an idiot. Both last year AND this year, he was active, dressed for the game, but did not play a snap.
GO TEAM BEAT OTHER TEAM

RULES
Post with the following info:
1. Indicate the team you will believe will win (e.g. KC for the Kansas City Chiefs or TB for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers )
2. Predict the number of points each team will get (e.g. KC: 30
TB: 27)
The difference from each team's actual score will be summed, the lower the difference the better
3. Predict the color of the Gatorade poured on the winning coach (e.g. Blue, Clear/Water, Orange, Lime/Green/Yellow, Red, Purple)
4. If all of the above are correct, tie will be determined by the order of the comments
5. Comment's must be submitted 5 minutes prior to kick off
6. One guess per person. I will respond to your post with a summary of your guess as your final submission
7. Criteria will be considered in this order: winning team selected, total point differential of for each team, color of Gatorade
8. Account must not have been created today, must have 20 karma to ride this ride
9. I'll start with an example as the house
Like the title suggests, what average player(s) on your teams' Super bowl winning team(s) do you think has been forgotten or just not talking about enough? I'm not talking about average players that we know did amazing in the SB like Malcolm Smith in SB 48 or Larry Brown in Super Bowl 30 who both won SB MVPs.
I mean a player like Rod Martin in SB 15, the guy has a SB record 3 ints in the Raiders win over the Eagles.
Or the one game great, Timmy Smith who in SB 22 had 204 yards rushing and 2 tds in Washington's win over the Broncos. Which is ridiculous because the guy had 600 career rushing yards (not inlcuding the playoffs) and scored his first career NFL td in said SB.
Give me your unknown unheralded players
Where y'all at?
Romo is a gem on commentary
I love The Weeknd donβt get me wrong but how The Weeknd get a half time show before Ye?
