I kid. Well, mostly. The combination fashion/sneaker public did not invent automated checkouts, but these people have perfected the craft. It’s no longer a basic Python script, this is an art. A learning curve in and of itself. At the best of times, online shopping is a quick and convenient alternative to ever going outside. At the worst of times, items disappear from your cart mid coffee sip, stores sell out in an f5, your IP gets banned for unknown reasons, Chrome freezes irreversibly, and you log on to Twitter just to see someone with five-thousand orders placed on the thing you only wanted one of.

Botting—the use of automated checkout scripts—is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. I’ve probably made that reference already, but it still stands. Users of the Dark Arts can have sneakers and box logo hoodies set for delivery without getting out of bed. They can order in the tens, dozens, hundreds at the highest level. And, ideally for them, they can flip this investment around into cold, hard profit. At least, they used to. As you might have heard, a bill has been reintroduced by House and Senate Democrats that if passed would crack down on online botting. For Americans, this sounds pretty good. On the other hand, it doesn’t feel like this should have come down to legislation, right? Why haven’t the companies making these products, selling these products, not just enable stricter anti-bot practices? More on that later, but when it comes to the bot hustle, we have a lot to unpack.

The Before Times

What does a drop day look like in 2022? A lot different from how things used to be, and not just because of times wot are unprecedented. Before Nike SNKRS, before Adidas Confirmed, before the site bandwidth nightmare that is Supreme New York Dot Com at 11am, getting the fashion pieces one wanted was beautifully simple. Things operated on (old) concert ticket logic; if you want it, line up. How early do you line up? Well, how badly do you want it?

The art of queueing up has not totally died. For the purists, or those fed up with botting, the line is still the preferred method of doing things. But lining up for shoes or clothes is not the same as lining up

hello everyone, after a few years of not being confident enough in my capacities i finally decided to say fuck it and create my own streetwear brand in morocco, the thing is i am from the north and my dad told that most people from here don’t really take artistic things and fashion seriously (it’s tefliya and khraba9) unlike people in casa and maybe rabat so my question is, do i really need to go to casa to have more "opportunities" (as in the tools to make your own fabrics/prints, expositions etc) ?

In their first individual challenge, the designers take on streetwear, the most relevant and individualized style in fashion; the competitors create breakout looks to catch the eye of their cool guest judge, social media fashion icon, Wisdom Kaye.

Pretty much what the title says. I’ve been trying to find new online stores and all of them seem to be in the UK. I really don’t want to deal with paying taxes and toll when ordering and receiving the package.

I've probably redesigned my store, Black Mustard Seed, like 10 times but I've think it has a good look and flow now. My husband and I also just published a mobile app for it too. But what I'm still not sure about is how to bring in traffic and increase conversion rate.

I checked out the WDYWT thread and I wanna be able to put together cute matchy outfits too !! Everybody looks SO good !! please tell me it’s easier then it looks ?! I feel like I have 0 fashion sense.

Is it just looking for inspo (like on pintrest) and buying those same pieces ? How can I get multiple different outfits from one item ? Do I buy shoes first then clothes to match with the shoes or vice versa ?

Coming from a teenager, I feel like supreme is a lot more of just wearing it to look cool than buying it for quality and collecting like it was before. Which I understand a lot of people used to do it to look cool but still. Plus supreme is recycling a lot of their old clothes and designs. It’s just not as original as it was. Not gatekeeping, just a question.
