I've worn a kilt occasionally for a little over 20 years but my sporran has always caused a bit of discomfort. The chain always seems to get under my rather large belly and I need to adjust it frequently. Even when it doesn't I find that it bangs uncomfortably on my junk.
What do you guys do?
I'm considering dropping the sporran altogether for informal wear and maybe getting a belt pouch or something similar.

I'll only ever be wearing my kilt casually, so I want to make sure I won't be butchering the culture behind it.
Just looking for some thoughts on the matter.

If any of you guys in the the kilted krew can point me in the direction of a sporran or two that fits the bill, I would be very grateful.
