So I had a longer discussion with a friend about Sorties. We do them daily together if they aren't too annoying (e.g. Vay Hek Assassination with Elemental Enhancement); but comparing the rewards to standard missions, we feel like Sorties should be brought up to DE's attention:
You mainly run Sorties for Rivens. Although this is a common reward, I feel like you don't often get them. The actual common reward is by far the Anasa Sculpture. You get 3450 Endo by using 3 Cyan and two Amber stars. Then there's also 4000 Endo as an uncommon reward. And THEN there are more efficient ways to obtain Endo, most widespread the Steel Path Arena. Players who haven't unlocked it yet can get Endo from selling Railjack drops, Mods, Arbitrations etc. There are by far better ways to obtain Endo.
Same with Kuva. 6000 Kuva upon completion isn't even two rolls. And again, it's faster to obtain Kuva elsewhere (Kuva Flood, trading Steel Essence, trading Vitus Essence, etc.; but the whole Kuva thing is another topic tbh.)
Spending so much time on Sorties (depending on the mission of course) compared to the other missions for rewards that can be obtained elsewhere (and often WAY FASTER) is simply not worth it. I feel like DE should either remove those rewards completely, or at least increase the amount to a substantial number. After all, it's only availabe once per day - it should be somewhat rewarding, should it not?
On that note, we also had the idea of a Steel Path Sortie; either by the concept of the known Steel Path, or something completely different:
What about a Sortie that let's you choose multiple modifiers out of a randomized pool, with each increasing the reward (e.g. you get three modifiers to choose from, and can go with either one or all three). I also wouldn't mind having new modifiers added in this category (e.g. Spy mission without using a Stealth Frame, Mobile Defense without Frost/Limbo etc.).
But all of this is simply what we had in mind. Do you have other - better alternatives? Or do you think Sorties should actually stay the way they are now?
I led a flight of 14 (IIRC) hornets and a couple vipers on the Hoggit training server with an ATC once, running a SEAD practice mission. We did an elephant walk then a huge synchronized takeoff. We had the runway for too long then took off and flew north after losing a couple to DCS things and god, breaching the clouds in a swarm of hornets just looking around trying to count each one and just seeing more and more was absolutely stunning. As we all reached contrail altitude during our climb, one by one our aircraft started conning and we leveled out, each of us staying a comfortable 20 or so meters from each other in odd directions with a couple tight pair formations. Shortly after that we started getting into range and breaking apart for our attack runs, it was a beautiful sight of aircraft flitting around the sky going defensive against SAMs. The streaks of SAMs rocketing through the air and the screech of those who failed to defend before a sudden comm cut were too immersive. The whole time I was just marveling at what DCS is, even with it’s many problems, it’s just such an amazing experience.

Comme probablement plusieurs d’entre vous mon chum et moi venons tout juste de sortir de notre isolement de 10 jours et on se cherche maintenant des activités extérieures à faire. On peut pas mal se promener partout dans la rive-nord, dans laval pis dans montréal. On aime bien le patin/ la marche dans la forêt entk le plein air d’hiver tsé. Auriez-vous des recommendations d’endroits où aller? J’ai fais plein de recherches mais j’ai tellement de misère à trouver des bons spots :(
J'ai déjà vu quelques threads sur des bars/salles mais je me demandais si vous êtes au courant de concerts sympas ce soir (type petit truc, je n'ai pas vu grand chose sur les agendas culturels en ligne).
